With the rapid development of urban construction,traffic congestion,lack of public space,environmental degradation and other problems,the phenomenon of urban space quality decline and lack of urban vitality gradually emerged.In China ’s urban construction is in the historical stage of transformation from high-speed ’ incremental expansion ’ to high-speed steady development of ’ stock quality ’,urban space quality construction is gradually becoming the focus of urban planning and construction.As the most closely related space environment with urban residents,the living street is closely related to the daily life of the public,such as public communication and activities.Therefore,it is highly valued to create a vibrant urban street space and build a living street space with excellent quality.It is also an inevitable choice for the construction of urban street space quality in China.Based on the above background,this study takes the living street space in the old urban area of Hefei as the research object,conducts quantitative research on the quality of street space,uses street scene image data as the basic database of research,and measures and evaluates the quality of street space through machine algorithm,artificial scoring and eye movement gaze experiment.In addition,this study constructs the evaluation system of living street space quality from two dimensions of objective and subjective.The objective level is to measure the five objective material elements of green view rate,sky openness,enclosure degree,motorization degree and walkability in the street.The subjective perception level is to score the residence intention of the street space and study the visual preference of eye movement fixation.Finally,the subjective and objective are combined to construct a relatively scientific and perfect evaluation index system of living street space quality.The study found that :(1)Among the objective measurement indicators,Fuyang Road has a relatively high green view rate,Shouchun Road has the highest sky openness,Shucheng Road has the highest degree of enclosure,Funan Road has the highest degree of motorization,and Lu ’an Road has the highest walkability.In the subjective measurement index,the street with the highest comprehensive willingness to stay is Lu ’an Road,and the lowest street is Wuwei Road.(2)The green view rate,enclosure degree and walkability of the street are positively correlated with the street ’s willingness to stay,and in the street space,buildings,greening,and lanes have a higher visual attraction for people,and are often the first objects that people begin to pay attention to when entering the street.When passing or staying in the street,the total attention to people is also longer.The three elements of greening,sky and sidewalk have a strong correlation with the willingness of pedestrians to stay in the street.Pedestrians’ fixation on greening,sidewalk and other elements in the street can significantly enhance their willingness to stay,while the longer the fixation time on the sky,the pedestrian ’s willingness to stay in the street will be significantly reduced.(3)There are some problems in the living streets in the old urban area of Hefei,including the lack of green space construction,the lack of slow traffic system construction and the lack of vitality of street space.Finally,based on the problems existing in the living streets of the old urban area of Hefei,the study proposes strategies such as improving the green view rate of the street,shaping a variety of street space,and creating a suitable slow-moving system to improve the quality of its street space.Three typical living streets in the old urban area of Hefei were selected.According to the street renewal concept of green space optimization,space vitality improvement and slow system shaping,the three typical living streets were optimized.
