| With the gradual implementation of the policy and strategy of "going out" of Chinese construction enterprises, the international engineering market has shown explosive and leapfrog development in recent years. However, since the outbreak of the new crown epidemic in 2020,China’s foreign contracting engineering industry has been hit by an unprecedented blow and is facing a severe development situation.Especially in African countries, due to their unique political environment and complex natural environment, international projects in them face problems such as large project investment, long cycle and many factors affecting the construction period. It is very important to deal with the risk management of international projects in the post-epidemic era,how to enable foreign contractors to correctly identify project risks, conduct risk analysis and assessment, and take effective risk response measures in a timely manner.Taking the ACEG-JHC consortium project in Algeria as an example, this paper analyzes and summarizes some problems arising in the post-epidemic era, extracts the risk factors affecting the project, constructs a risk management index system, modifies the evaluation indicators through the method of expert questionnaire survey, uses AHP to determine the weight of each evaluation index, and combines the determined evaluation index system to construct a risk management evaluation model by using BP neural network method.Through the constructed model, the project risk management is comprehensively evaluated, and the key problems affecting international engineering projects in the post-epidemic era are identified and improvement measures are proposed. This study provides an effective method for the risk management evaluation of foreign contracting projects in the post-epidemic era,and provides theoretical support and countermeasures to improve the risk management level of such international engineering projects. |
