The new energy of heavy-duty trucks is an important measure to comply with the country’s active and steady promotion of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality,and is the future development direction of heavy-duty trucks.However,China’s heavy-duty truck enterprises generally have the problems of weak brand recognition,low level of styling design,and serious signs of imitation of brand characteristics of foreign enterprises,and some enterprises even directly copy existing products,which seriously damages the healthy development of China’s heavy-duty truck industry.Taking new energy heavy-duty trucks as the research object,this paper benchmarks the main work content of styling designers in the vehicle R&D process,starts with the definition,classification,key technologies and development status of new energy heavy-duty trucks,combines the traditional heavy-duty truck styling design theory with the new energy heavyduty truck,and analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of the styling design of new energy heavy-duty trucks.Based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy method,a set of new energy heavy-duty truck modeling evaluation system is constructed,which provides a scientific,reliable and easy-to-operate evaluation method for the modeling evaluation of new energy heavy-duty trucks.Based on theoretical research,the exploration of future product solutions is carried out,the styling product scheme of new energy heavy-duty trucks is enriched,and the relevant design theory and practical application are enriched,and the main research results and conclusions are as follows:(1)The current situation of new energy heavy-duty truck styling design at home and abroad was sorted out,and it was found that there was a large gap in the styling design of new energy heavy-duty trucks at home and abroad,summarized the development trend of new energy heavy-duty trucks,and clarified that the styling of new energy heavy-duty trucks in China should develop in the direction of beautiful shape,high brand recognition,and in line with the future development trend.(2)Based on the theory of brand gene and product image,the brand gene of product modeling is deconstructed into dominant gene,and the modeling characteristics are divided into four elements: point,line,surface and color,and it is clear that the point element and color element of the modeling feature have the most obvious effect on brand identity;Seven representative new energy heavy-duty truck models and nine sets of image vocabulary pairs were confirmed,which were enlightening for the expansion of styling solutions.(3)Based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy method,a new energy heavy-duty truck modeling evaluation system was established,a second-level model was constructed,and the evaluation criteria and evaluation methods were determined,so that the fuzzy qualitative evaluation was transformed into a quantitative evaluation result that was convenient for comparison and processing,so that the modeling scheme review was more scientific,reasonable,reliable,and highly operable.(4)With Yutong as the target brand,analyze the existing products,combine the characteristics of the enterprise,explore future product solutions,complete the entire modeling design practice process,enrich the new energy heavy-duty truck product solutions,and the overall design methods and processes can provide reference for the company’s product development research.Through design practice,it is proved that the theoretical research of modeling design of the paper has certain guiding significance and practical value for the modeling design of new energy heavy-duty trucks.
