Since ancient times,housing has been one of the most basic needs of human beings,and "home ownership" shows people’s aspiration for the most basic right to live.Since the reform and opening up,China has started the development of urbanization which covers the largest population and the widest area in the world.Although the housing market and housing security in China are both born from the reform of the housing welfare system,the actual construction does not give equal importance to the development of both,and the thinking orientation of land finance makes it extremely difficult to reach a consensus between the market and welfare in the decision-making process.Against the background of rising housing prices and increasing scarcity of land resources,the government usually concentrates the sites in the suburbs of the city in order to save land costs for the construction of subsidized housing,which not only brings a series of problems such as increased commuting costs,reduced accessibility of public facilities and residential segregation to the housing-disadvantaged groups,but also brings the imbalance of jobs and housing,spatial mismatch,traffic congestion and talent loss to the city.This is a serious departure from the original purpose of China’s housing security system to improve people’s livelihood.Therefore,it is not only necessary to provide housing for those in need,but also to pay attention to the relationship between work and residence of the residents in the housing system,and to build housing that is more suitable for them to work and live in,so that they can enjoy their homes,thereby improving people’s livelihood and building a harmonious and stable society.In this paper,we summarize the relevant issues of domestic and international housing security systems.This paper summarizes the research on the housing security system at home and abroad,uses questionnaire interviews,official government statistics to obtain relevant data,and uses Arc GIS spatial analysis tools,SPSS statistical analysis tools,and relevant work-living balance measurement methods to study the work-living relationship of residents in Xiangyang City.The study then used SPSS to statistically analyze the occupational and residential information from the questionnaire survey and GIS to construct a transportation network in Xiangyang to analyze the commuting paths of residents.The study found that most of the housing units in Xiangyang are clustered at the edge of the city or scattered in the suburbs,showing the characteristics of overconcentration and marginal location,which makes the commuting time of housing residents too long.In order to avoid the imbalance between jobs and residents in the newly built guaranteed rental housing,this paper uses questionnaire survey to conduct demand statistics for more than 600 enterprises and institutions in the city,uses expert scoring and AHP hierarchical analysis to assign weights to factors affecting spatial layout,and uses GIS spatial analysis method combined with python crawled urban poi data from public supporting facilities,employment,landscape,demand status,granted but The evaluation system of the suitability of the location of guaranteed rental housing in Xiangyang was constructed by using the GIS spatial analysis method combined with python crawling urban poi data in terms of public supporting facilities,employment,landscape,current demand,distribution of granted and unsupplied land,etc.In order to effectively optimize the relationship between jobs and housing for residents of completed subsidized housing and to avoid the imbalance between jobs and housing in newly built subsidized rental housing,improvement and optimization strategies are proposed in six aspects: optimizing the public service facility network and balancing the spatial structure for completed subsidized housing;and alleviating the problem of social differentiation with a mixed living model.For the uncompleted subsidized rental housing,it is recommended to build a fair and balanced urban spatial layout;explore a multi-channel housing supply model;and establish a sound supervisory platform for subsidized rental housing,which can optimize the construction of the housing security system from multiple aspects and can effectively prevent the emergence of resident segregation and promote social harmony.This study can not only provide some specific guidelines for the construction of guaranteed rental housing in Xiangyang,improve the relationship between the residents of guaranteed housing in Xiangyang,promote the employment of disadvantaged groups,and narrow the gap between the rich and the poor,but also provide some references and lessons for the construction of housing security systems in other cities.
