With the progress and development of society,China pays attention to environmental protection while developing the economy,which proposes to achieve the goal of "double carbon".Therefore,the energy consumption of buildings gets more attention.Silo-cave is a kind of traditional residence building with local materials,low cost,comfortable residence,warm winter and cool summer,whose development and promotion to solve current energy and environmental problems have significant practical significance.In order to explore the promotion potential of the silo-cave,this paper summarized the types and distribution areas of loess cave dwellings,and the silo-cave is studied from safety,modernization,and economy.The main work is as follows:Firstly,by using ABAQUS software,the finite element model of the silo-cave is established to simulate the displacement field and stress field during excavation as well as the creep field after excavation.The changing trend and causes of the displacement field and stress field are analyzed.The simulation results show that the danger points of the structure are located at the top of the pit yard,the vault of cave dwelling and the middle of the wall leg,and that the influence of loess creep on the safety of the silo-cave is mainly concentrated in the first year after excavation,the influence degree decreases gradually,and the creep stops basically after five years.Secondly,based on the simulation results of displacement fields of excavation process and creep after excavation,the supporting structures of the pit yard and the cave dwelling are proposed to limit the creep of the silo-cave.At the same time,a series of improvement measures are proposed for the backward facilities of the traditional courtyard to improve its residential comfort,so that the silo-cave can become a new green building to meet the need of modern life.Thirdly,for the modernization soli-cave after safety renovation and backward facilities renovation,its economy is evaluated by comparing with the above-ground dwelling with similar volumes.The construction cost per unit area is obtained by preparing the bill of quantities and valuation table of two dwellings,and the annual living cost is obtained by theoretical calculation.The evaluation results show that the construction cost and annual living cost of modernization soli-cave are only 75.51% and52.46% of those of above-ground dwelling.To sum up: the soli-cave not only has a safe and reliable structure form,but also is a green building of energy saving and emission reduction.It has a broad development prospect and is worth vigorously promoting and applying.
