Chengdu-Chongqing Airport Group has been positioned as a world-class airport group.Under the green development trend of civil aviation and in response to the national dual carbon target, the development of Chengdu-Chongqing Airport Group in a green way will certainly become a hot spot for research. To provide reference suggestions for the low carbon development of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group, this thesis quantifies the current carbon emission situation from the carbon emission measurement analysis of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group, verifies whether the coordinated development is achieved from the analysis of total and component decoupling effects of carbon emission of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group, and determines the positive pulling factors and negative inhibiting factors of carbon emission from the analysis of six indicators inside and outside the civil aviation industry. The results of the study are as follows:(1)Using the emission factor method as the idea, the ICAO standard emission model is used to measure the carbon emissions of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group from 2014 to 2021.During the observation years, the changes of carbon emissions of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group are consistent with the changes of airport throughput.(2)The HHI index is used to measure the monopoly of carbon emissions of ChengduChongqing airport group, and it is found that the carbon emissions of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group are highly concentrated during the observation year. The R/S analysis is used to measure the carbon emissions of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group in time autocorrelation, and it is found that the carbon emissions of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group will continue to grow in the future. The regional variability of carbon emissions of the Chengdu-Chongqing airport group is measured by using the Thiel index, and it is found that the carbon emissions of the Chengdu-Chongqing airport group vary greatly within the region.(3)The Tapio decoupling model is used as the basis for constructing the decoupling model of carbon emissions of the Chengdu-Chongqing airport group. The decoupling effect of the total carbon emission of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group and the carbon emission components of each airport are analyzed, and it is found that the overall airport development effect is ideal, but none of them reaches the ideal decoupling state, and the airport group has not yet achieved coordinated development, but the one with better low-carbon development effect is Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.(4)Based on the LMDI factor decomposition of the Chengdu-Chongqing airport group based on the Kaya constant equation,it is found that the driving effect of airport passenger fuel consumption has a higher growth rate, and the cumulative effect of airport cargo rate accounts for the largest share.Airport passenger-to-cargo ratio, city economic level, and population effect play a positive pulling effect on the carbon emission of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group, while, airport passenger fuel consumption airport cargo utilization rate, and city trade level play a negative inhibiting effect. After verification,it is found that the carbon emissions of Chengdu-Chongqing airport group are characterized by continuous growth, concentrated emissions and large regional differences, and there is still a certain distance to go before coordinated development, which can accelerate low-carbon development by controlling airport fuel consumption per passenger and increasing the development of airport cargo rate.It is suggested that the carbon emission reduction should be achieved as soon as possible by implementing a carbon emission quota system, coordinating all airports in the region, improving the operational efficiency of airports, increasing the passenger seat rate and improving the utilization rate of airport cargo.
