| As a way to protect and revitalize cultural heritage resources, cultural heritage tour trails, which organically link heritage resources through the same theme, use transportation networks and other carriers for route construction, provide a new perspective for thinking about the revitalization of historical and cultural districts.Faced with the increasing demand for heritage tourism, most historical and cultural districts try to incorporate historical, aesthetic and ecological elements into the public space of the district from the dimensions of cultural heritage resources, neighborhood experience and brand image,in order to meet the needs of tourists. However,in the actual process of renovation and renewal, many public spaces in historical and cultural districts are replaced by new urban fabric, which makes the layout of various resource elements scattered, neglects the historical and cultural values of the district, reduces the readability of cultural heritage, and fails to move the development of historical and cultural districts, leading to the problem of regional vitality at the level of heritage tourism, turning the site into a historical " Museums" or empty shells with no appearance.Guangzhou’s Changzhou Island Historic District has the same real-life dilemma. In this study,we will try to investigate the working path of revitalization design of the historical and cultural district from the perspective of cultural heritage tourism, and we will use Changzhou Island as the object of the study. This study involves the following three aspects:(1)Based on the background of the selected topic and research questions, the connotation of cultural heritage trails and the research history at home and abroad, the characteristics and establishment criteria of cultural heritage trails are studied.(2)Using the cultural heritage trails as an entry point, the study will develop a revitalization path for historical and cultural districts, summarize the "four steps" for the revitalization of historical and cultural districts, and analyze the feasibility of the path with relevant classic cases.(3)Using the historical and cultural district of Changzhou Island in Guangzhou,Guangdong Province as a practical case to verify the working path, the historical and cultural district of Changzhou Island is identified, the heritage elements are related, the tour route is constructed, and the spatial nodes are created with the concept of "organically linking elements and reshaping the cultural value of the district",and the cultural heritage tour route is explored. This paper explores the feasibility of a sustainable revitalization design of the historical and cultural district in the form of cultural heritage trails, and seeks new tourism development practices for the historical and cultural district.Through the research and practice conducted in this paper,we hope to make some contributions to the revitalization design and heritage revitalization practices of historic and cultural districts from the landscape design level. |
