Since the introduction of preventive conservation theory from the field of collection conservation to the field of architectural heritage,the advocated concept of preventing problems before they arise has greatly influenced the theoretical system of architectural heritage conservation worldwide.Compared to foreign countries,the research and practice of preventive conservation theory in China have been relatively slow.At the same time,Chinese architectural heritage is prone to damage due to its material and age.In order to prevent problems before they occur and truly achieve preventive conservation of China’s architectural heritage,it is necessary to construct a structural health monitoring system for architectural heritage.This paper will focus on the structural health monitoring system from the perspective of preventive conservation,mainly including the following content.Chapter 1: Introduction.This includes the research background,significance,domestic and international research status,research content,classification of research objects,research methods and framework,and innovations in research content and technical methods.Chapter 2: A review of the development of preventive conservation theory abroad.Starting with the evolution of the definition of preventive conservation,this chapter summarizes the proposal of the definition of preventive conservation,its extension in the field of architectural heritage conservation,the formation of the definition in the field of architectural heritage conservation,and finally analyzes and sorts out the overall development history of foreign preventive conservation theory.Based on this,it analyzes the development patterns of Italy,the Netherlands,Belgium,the United Kingdom,and international joint preventive conservation.Chapter 3: From the perspective of foreign preventive conservation development,this chapter compares and analyzes the origin and development of domestic preventive conservation,including research trends,policy and regulatory introduction,practice exploration,and current major problems.The aim is to explore a path suitable for the development of preventive conservation in contemporary China.Chapter 4: Structural health monitoring of architectural heritage.This chapter provides a definition of structural health monitoring based on relevant materials and summarizes the characteristics and significance of structural health monitoring.It elaborates on the significance and workflow of structural detection before structural monitoring,analyzes its advantages and disadvantages,and concludes the necessity of establishing a structural health monitoring system.Subsequently,it introduces the construction process of the architectural heritage structural health monitoring system and analyzes the construction process of the system,providing a technical approach for the development of preventive conservation in China.Chapter 5: Construction of the Deshengmen Arrow Tower monitoring system.Taking the Deshengmen Arrow Tower in Beijing as an example,this chapter systematically explains the complete construction process of the Deshengmen Arrow Tower structural monitoring system,verifying its feasibility and scalability,and providing experience and reference for subsequent preventive conservation research.Conclusion: Summarize the main points of the paper,analyze existing problems,and discuss the prospects for future research.
