In today’s rapid socio-economic development,China,as the world’s largest energy producer and consumer,is consuming a large amount of various high-carbon energy sources in a short period of time,and the problems of energy scarcity and environmental damage are becoming more and more prominent.With the announcement of China’s carbon peak and carbon neutral goals at the United Nations General Assembly,energy saving and emission reduction for the whole society has become urgent.At present,the scale of China’s universities is still in the growth stage,and as the main force of basic research and an important position of scientific and technological innovation,universities have the responsibility and obligation to take the social responsibility of energy saving and emission reduction.Teaching buildings are an indispensable and important part of colleges and universities,and there are many of them and they are used very frequently,but there are some problems that cannot be ignored in terms of building energy consumption,such as lack of effective energy-saving design and technical means,low energy utilization efficiency,etc.,which cause huge energy waste and environmental pressure and hinder the sustainable development construction concept of college buildings,and have greater potential for energy saving and emission reduction.Based on the above background,this paper takes the teaching buildings of universities in Jinan area as an example to study the influence of building form and envelope structure of teaching buildings on building energy consumption and propose corresponding energy-saving design strategies.Firstly,the article elaborates the current situation of building energy consumption and the scale of development of colleges and universities in China at the present stage,and summarizes the research on energy-saving design of college buildings at home and abroad.Through the analysis of the characteristics of college teaching buildings and the influencing factors of energy consumption,the evaluation index and the research method of energy consumption simulation analysis adopted in this paper are determined.Secondly,field research on 50 college teaching buildings in Jinan area was conducted,and the range of parameters and statistical data of college teaching building design were determined through the collection and statistics of design parameters.At the same time,combining with relevant industry norms and standards,two typical models of college teaching buildings with the highest frequency of plane forms in Jinan area were established from four aspects: building form,envelope structure,building operation settings and meteorological data.Then,the typical models are simulated for energy consumption based on Grasshopper platform using Honeybee and Ladybug performance analysis tools to study the influence of design parameters on building energy consumption in two aspects of building form and envelope structure of college teaching buildings in Jinan area,and analyze the difference of energy consumption influence from three categories of sub energy consumption,cooling,heating and lighting,in terms of overall layout of building design The energy-saving design strategies of university teaching buildings are proposed in three parts: the overall layout of the building design,the shape and size of the building,and the envelope structure.After that,orthogonal tests were conducted on nine types of design parameters in terms of building form and envelope structure,and the parameters and energy consumption results were analyzed by multiple regression using the statistical analysis software SPSS and the regression equation was obtained,so as to determine the quantitative relationship between each design parameter and building energy consumption,and to be able to judge the energy consumption level of the building scheme at the preliminary stage of design and modify it in time to achieve the purpose of building energy saving.Finally,the actual teaching building of a university in Jinan is used as the base case for the study of program optimization of energy-saving design,while the analysis of economic efficiency is introduced in the envelope structure,and the thermal performance of the structure is constrained.Finally,the total energy consumption of the building can be reduced by 13.8% when comparing the program before and after optimization.
