By the end of 2022,Guangzhou Metro ranks the third in terms of subway mileage in mainland China,with a total length of 621 kilometers,16 lines in operation,302 stations opened,including 40 transfer stations,realizing subway connectivity in all districts in Guangzhou.The subway transfer station is the interchange point of several lines,which has a large passenger flow and a large commercial development potential.Based on the spatial position relationship between Guangzhou metro commercial space and station hall,commercial consumption type,volume,business form composition and other factors,subway commerce can be divided into subway hall commerce,subway overcover commerce and subway domain commerce,and station hall commerce can be further divided into station hall built-in commerce and station hall passage commerce.Station commerce is a commercial facility directly connected with the station space and closely connected with the subway passenger flow.It integrates the dual advantages of the transfer station on the subway passenger flow and the station commerce on the spatial location,and its space is both traffic and commercial.On the one hand,through certain measures to improve the conversion rate of station hall commerce to passenger flow,can increase the income of metro commercial business,relieve the pressure of metro operation;But on the other hand,the commercial space of the transfer station hall is easily affected by the space,structure,streamline and surrounding environment.It increases the difficulty of designing the commercial space of the station hall,resulting in low economic benefits of the space.Based on the current situation of the commercial space of Guangzhou Metro transfer station,this paper takes the commercial space of the transfer station as the research object and aims to improve and optimize the commercial space of the station and enhance its economic benefits.Starting from the utilization rate of commercial passenger flow in the station and the experience sense of commercial space,this paper proposes the design strategy for the commercial space of Guangzhou Metro transfer station.To provide more comfortable commercial space for the public and passengers.Firstly,this paper conducts basic research on Guangzhou Metro transfer station and its commerce,and summarizes the space and passenger flow characteristics of each type of transfer station,as well as the development course of Guangzhou Metro commerce,the types of metro commerce and the types and composition of station hall commerce.Secondly,through field research on the commercial space of Guangzhou Metro transfer station and its station hall,the paper analyzes the four major components of the commercial space,namely the business configuration,physical composition,environment and atmosphere,culture and quality,analyzes the current design of the commercial space of the transfer station hall,finds out its problems and experiences,and provides ideas and case basis for the proposal of the following strategies.Finally,on the basis of the above research,combined with the domestic and foreign practical experience of metro business and relevant theories,the paper puts forward three principles of commercial space design,namely "integrity","humanization" and "accessibility",and puts forward design strategies from four aspects,namely,commercial format configuration,spatial organization,spatial quality and spatial characteristics.Put forward reasonable suggestions for commercial space design of Guangzhou subway station hall.
