Due to the rapid growth of the national economy and the dramatic increase in energy demand, energy shortages are becoming more and more serious, and attention is being focused on the development of energy saving and emission reduction technologies. As an indispensable tool in the urbanisation process, lifts consume a great deal of energy, and conventional lifts, which consume braking regenerative energy in the form of energy-consuming resistors, are therefore not very energy-efficient.In this paper,we choose to use supercapacitors to absorb the regenerative energy generated by the lift and compensate for the spike power of the lift operating in the energy-consuming state, and study in detail the control strategy of the bi-directional DC-DC converter, which is the core part of the energy storage system.voltage gain three-level bidirectional DC-DC converter. The paper starts with some analysis of the overall structure and operating conditions of a conventional lift, including a study of the lift’s operating speed curve and,on this basis, the mechanics of the lift’s traction system.By analysing the power characteristics of the lift in different operating states, the symmetrical relationship between the positive and negative power flows of the lift in different operating states is derived, and a set of energy management solutions is proposed,i.e.the energy between the energy storage device and the DC bus of the system is transmitted through a bi-directional DC-DC converter.A variety of bi-directional DC converter topologies are compared and analysed in the paper, and the topology is selected in conjunction with the specific usage requirements of the supercapacitor energy storage device. The analysis concludes that the selected bi-directional converter can be better applied in energy-saving lifts. Finally, the system hardware circuit and software flowchart are designed, based on which the system is simulated using Matlab/Simulink.The results show that the system has good control performance and achieves the expected energy saving requirements.Figure 53 Table 5 Reference 58...
