A Study On The Creative Design Of Cicada Patterns On Shang Dynasty Bronze Wares

Cicada patterns originated in the Neolithic period,and were often decorated in bronze and jade.It is one of the common patterns on bronze in the Shang Dynasty,and has diverse shapes,rich connotations and auspicious meanings.The pattern of bronze ware is one of the important forms of bronze culture.It is the embodiment of political,economic,cultural and religious worship at that time,and has high artistic research value.Up to now,there are few studies on the cicada patterns on bronzes,and most of them are in the direction of history and archaeology,and there is no research on them in the direction of art design.This paper takes the cicada pattern of Shang Dynasty bronzes as the research object,the main purpose is to broaden the scope of people’s attention to the patterns of bronzes,and to carry out creative design research on the cicada pattern of Shang Dynasty bronzes from the perspective of artistic design,so as to understand the artistic characteristics and cultural connotation of the cicada pattern of Shang Dynasty bronzes from multiple angles and dimensions.The cicada pattern is classified in the way of archeological typology into three types: the cicada pattern with feet,the cicada pattern without feet and the deformed cicada pattern.Through the induction and integration of the cicada pattern of the Shang Dynasty bronzes,the layout,modeling characteristics and cultural connotation are analyzed and studied.The cicada pattern is summarized,accepted and extracted according to the type of cicada pattern,and integrated into modern design techniques for creative transformation,and then the cicada pattern of the Shang Dynasty bronzes is displayed,To provide new ideas and diversified expressions in modern creative design.Through further research on cicada patterns,this paper explores their cultural connotation and integrates them into cultural creative products,which is not only conducive to improving the public’s attention to traditional patterns and recognition of traditional culture,but also conducive to expressing the application value of bronze patterns,enriching design elements for cultural creative products,and displaying the charm and aesthetics of traditional auspicious patterns.
