The Method Of Event-based Creation:Analysis Of Contemporary Narrative Architecture

Since the 1960 s,the debate on "architectural complexity" has become the keynote of architecture in the new era,and the architectural form and spatial content have become increasingly complex.In Existence and Time,Heidegger emphasized that "existence is the essence of space",which confirmed the demand for a deeper meaning of architecture since the postmodern.Badiou proposed that "event" is based on individual survival and is in the process of constant dynamic change,showing diversity,multi-quality,pluralism and inconsistency at the same time(Being and Event).Architecture is to some extent a manifestation of the real society.For example,Hall conducted a discussion on "Architecture and New architecture" to interpret the overall social performance of architecture in different historical stages.Tschumi proposed the concept of "event space" to confront the real complexity of urban life.Based on this,the remodeling of the building by the event is in essence a response to the "real daily life coexisting with complexity and contradictions".There is a complex relationship between architectural production and social daily life,so what is the essence of architectural practice? Nowadays,with the flood of extreme urbanized buildings,buildings are no longer limited to themselves,resulting in a lot of extension.The narrative attribute contained in the event makes the spatial meaning hidden in the complex form surface.How architecture responds to past,present,and forthcoming events is the final destination of its complexity.Starting from the concept of "event",THIS paper intends to conduct a structural analysis of "contemporary architectural narrative",and finally provide enlightenment for the architectural practice in the daily life of today’s complex city.To study the relationship between contemporary architectural narrative,daily life and spatial meaning,we first need to clarify the historical process: what kind of bias has been generated by the transformation of the social role of architecture? In this regard,taking Hall’s analysis of "classical,modern and 21 st century" architecture as the starting point of the study,the related attributes among events(daily practice),architecture(social existence)and space(practical presence)are clearly defined.Therefore,the core purpose of "architectural eventization" is analyzed.According to this thought,combined with the extensive extension of the concept of "event space" in the field of architecture since the 1980 s,three mechanisms of "event production of architectural space" are drawn,namely,narrative of traditional meaning,narrative of production meaning and narrative of consumption meaning.(Common research)Then,using the above three mechanisms,the author summarizes the effects of "events" on architecture.With the main purpose of enhancing the meaning of architecture and space,the event constructs "the text of architectural narrative" through the "organization of architectural narrative materials",and successively produces the opening effect,heterogeneous effect,absorption effect and media effect.And it has a positive impact on daily life practice.On this basis,the architectural design practice cases from postmodern to millennium(the stage of influence)and after millennium(the stage of phenomenon generation)are investigated in depth,so as to carry out further design research:Tried to from the daily life of the influence degree of the daily time "established three forms of" building event "type,namely a localized daily(some kind of specific construction image),an elaborate presupposition daily(a clear plan of building),a kind of collective participation of daily(a huge construction field);With the logic of"establishing the purpose of narration--the operation mechanism of narration--the production result of narration",the above event-based structure is deduced and the reconstruction of daily life is guided by architecture.And through the induction and summary,in order to realize the enlightenment to the future architectural design practice.(Personality Research)Finally,through the above research contents,the paper reviews the construction significance and value of architectural narrative to urban daily life,and discusses the possibility of creating "architectural eventization",so as to respond to the increasingly complex and diversified urban daily life.
