Research On The Memorial Architecture Space Design Based On Narratology

With promulgate a decree of the cultural rejuvenation,developing public cultural cause and constructing public cultural facilities,both of them are our major social engineering.As the important part of public cultural facilities in the city,the memorial building has to be re-examined new perspective in the new historical stage.It’s an important trend to take experience in the current space design.Taking narratology as the breakthrough point to memorial building space design,this article attempting to carry out interdisciplinary research from the narrative perspective,aims to probe into the ascension of experience of memorial architectural designs.Taking memorial building space as the research object,the paper try to hackle the evolution and development trend of the memorial building space;through the research on the theory and method of architecture narratology,oriented for enhance the space experience,this paper promotes the narrative mode of communication and the method of narration into discussion.And it makes a further study for the memorial space in three aspects: the narrative elements,narrative path and narrative atmosphere.This paper points out the relevance between the narrative expression and memorial architectural space expression,from the complete expression of narrative communication mode to effective translation of narrative mode,narrative as the main line,it preliminarily constructs the mode and narrative method of memorial building space design indicates the direction for the specific operation of the memorial architecture space.To break the previous closed design system,through the analysis of narrative mode and method,this article constructs a two-way communication system based on the designer’s code and the viewer’s interpretation.In order to improve the experience and effective transfer of meaning as the research object,not only pays attention to the material aspects of the narrative elements and narrative path extraction,but also emphasizes the spiritual narrative atmosphere.With outstanding works at home and abroad as a case it expounds the framework of memorial building space based on narratology.The construction is expected to provide theoretical support and practical guidance to the present and future of the memorial building space design.
