With the economic globalization,the importance of China’s maritime power construction is becoming increasingly prominent.Special marine equipment is the most critical tool for exploring and developing marine resources.Cycloidal propeller is used by many special ships due to its excellent maneuverability.The hydrodynamic derivation method and prediction program of ordinary propellers are no longer applicable and need to be calculated according to the characteristics of cycloidal propeller blades.In order to study the hydrodynamic performance of the cycloidal propeller under different parameters,ANSYS software is used to simulate the propulsion performance of the cycloidal propeller,and the optimal parameters of the propeller in normal operation are given by analyzing the calculation results.The main research contents are as follows:Based on the working principle of cycloidal propeller,the blade motion law is summarized,the corresponding blade motion equation is obtained,and the solution model is established according to the relevant principles of computational fluid dynamics.The cycloidal propeller blade is modeled by CATIA,Space Claim and other modeling software to obtain 2D and 3D blade models.The FLUENT software is used to analyze the hydrodynamic performance of 2D and 3D blades.When the cycloidal propeller is rotating,the flow angle of the blade will change in real time.According to the motion law of the cycloidal propeller,the corresponding user defined function(UDF)is written to control the blade to do the cycloidal motion.The results show that the amplitude of two-dimensional blade stress is larger than that of three-dimensional blade,and the hydrodynamic coefficients and their fluctuation amplitude will increase with the increase of blade length.To explore the effects of different shaft ratios,advance coefficients,rotational speeds and eccentricities on the hydrodynamic performance of cycloidal thrusters.The results show that the hydrodynamic parameter fluctuation of the propeller is small when the shaft ratio is50%,the inlet velocity coefficient is high,the rotating speed is low and the eccentricity is small,which will help maintain the stability of the thrust and blade.The hydrodynamic characteristics of cycloidal propeller are studied numerically,and the influence of different end plates on the hydrodynamic performance of the propeller is studied.In addition,the propeller with better parameters is matched with the water diversion ship designed by Heilongjiang Water Transport Planning Institute.The results show that the calculation results of the propeller with open water can accurately correspond to the calculation results of the propeller with the cooperation of the propeller.The calculation results in this paper have a certain reference value for the parameter setting of the propeller. |
