Research On Rural Landscape Planning And Design Based On Local Culture

With the continuous improvement of productivity,the rapid development of urbanization,and the increasingly convenient transportation,the living standards of urban residents have been improved,and they have begun to pay attention to spiritual needs.Urban residents have gradually shifted their travel destinations from city parks to rural areas full of local flavor to experience the rural charm.Under the promotion of national policies,rural tourism has also achieved unprecedented development,which has greatly promoted the progress of the rural economy and become a new development model outside of traditional agriculture.However,in the planning of rural tourism,overly simplistic rural construction methods inevitably lead to a"uniform" layout of rural areas,and also have a negative impact on the inheritance of local culture to a certain extent.Under the background of the rural revitalization strategy,the transforming rural areas need to be guided correctly,especially in the protection and inheritance of local culture.This article starts from the perspective of local culture,explores the methods of applying local culture in township green spaces,and further discusses how to promote the sustainable development of the rural economy,enhance the attraction of rural areas,and improve the quality of life of rural residents.This study employs literature analysis,field research,and a combination of theory and practice as research methods to analyze the relationship between township green spaces and local culture.It elucidates the value and importance of local culture.Building upon relevant theories,the study proposes principles for creating township green spaces,including ecological conservation,preservation of local characteristics,sustainable development,and cultural heritage.Additionally,it suggests techniques for expressing local characteristics,such as extracting local cultural features,utilizing resources,and creating iconic landscapes.Typical cases such as Dongyang Village in Luxi County,Pingxiang City,New Zealand’s Tikipunga Kiwifruit Theme Park,Japan’s Shirakawa Village Gassho-zukuri Village,and Japan’s Mizuho-cho New Rural Water Park are selected.These township green space planning and design cases express local culture.Based on the analysis of project overview,landscape design features,and project reference,the expression of local culture in these township green space planning and design cases is summarized.Finally,the study focuses on Xiaohuaqiao Township,Shaoyang County.By excavating and refining the local cultural elements of Xiaohuaqiao Township and using the principles of cultural inheritance and protection of local characteristics to plan the entire Tanjiang Park,the article summarizes how to integrate local culture into township green space design and explores how to shape a township green space that reflects local characteristics by excavating and refining traditional rural cultural elements.The article emphasizes the protection,exploration,and rational use of environmental,folk cultural,and local characteristic resources.Taking the design of the Tanjiang Park in Xiaohuaqiao Town as an example,the article analyzes the current situation and local landscape resources of Xiaohuaqiao Town,excavates its unique local elements,and creates a plan that truly represents the local cultural characteristics of Xiaohuaqiao Town in Shaoyang County.This plan carries on the local culture,including many local characteristics,such as the famous "blue print cloth" and "root carving art" showcasing the connotation and characteristics of local culture through landscape elements.It ingeniously incorporates local cultural characteristics into landscape nodes,creating a unique and distinctive Tanjiang Park with a strong local cultural atmosphere.This article has made valuable explorations on the continuity of local culture in rural green spaces,avoiding the homogenization and urbanization of rural landscapes.Moreover,based on the local culture,the design of rural green spaces can serve as a good showcase for local cultural heritage.The landscape design practice of Tanjiang Park has demonstrated that promoting excellent local culture can effectively enhance the connotation of rural areas.It can guide people’s awareness of protecting local culture,allowing more people to understand and appreciate the charm of local culture,and promoting the common development of rural economy and tourism industry.
