High-speed bearings are indispensable basic components of various types of products in the contemporary machinery industry,which play a major supporting role in the mechanical transmission process and reducing the load friction coefficient.The moving parts in mechanical products are the difficulty in the design of modern equipment,and proportion of failure caused by moving parts are more than 20%.Therefore,high-speed bearing technology has always been the key "stuck neck" technology that restricts the development of China’s machinery industry.The maximum power of air bearing is about 300 kW,and the maximum speed is more than 150,000 RPM.Although the bearing capacity of air bearing is weaker than that of other typical high-speed bearings,it is widely used in aerospace,high-speed fluid machinery,high-precision equipment,ultra-high-speed motors and other fields because of its characteristics of high maximum speed,large design freedom,small volume and high reliability.The theoretical analysis and related experimental research of the wave foil air bearing in this paper have achieved a large number of research results under the efforts of predecessors.But due to the compressibility of the gas and the complexity of the shape,arrangement,width and other structures of the wave foil in different studies,which will have a certain impact on the research results,there is basically no perfect unified design criteria and related standards for wave foil air bearing.In addition,wave foil air foil bearings involve many disciplines,and it is difficult to model them relatively accurately and reliably.Therefore,in order to improve the application research and design of wave foil air bearing and provide relevant data support for theoretical analysis,it is necessary to design a relevant test system to conduct a large number of experimental studies on the wave foil air bearing.In this paper,by analyzing the characteristics of the existing test benches,the flexible design is carried out to solve the shortcomings that the existing test benches cannot simulate various shafting systems.In order to solve the problem of incomplete experimental data of various characteristics and structural parameters of wave foil air bearings,the simulation test bench and bearing characteristic testing subsystem of wave foil air bearings are designed according to the actual requirements of air bearings,which can provide important test platform support for the structural design and theoretical research of air bearings.In this paper,first of all,according to the main application demand of air dynamic pressure bearing,advantages and disadvantages of existing test platform scheme are analyzed.The structural characteristics and required functions of the air dynamic pressure bearing test bench are proposed,and the dynamic pressure air bearing test bench is designed to simulate the application of radial air bearings and thrust air bearings in typical shafting structures such as high-speed motors.The test bench of shafting structure design and axial loading scheme were designed,and tests were carried out through the selection experiment with bearing,related data test and analysis method were summarized.By analyzing the characteristics of shafting critical speed,bearing life,bearing capacity and stability test in the system,the preliminary test support for radial and thrust dynamic pressure air bearings performance platform,which are the sub-system of air dynamic pressure bearing test bench,is provided.Secondly,in order to study the take-off speed,friction torque,temperature distribution,bearing coefficient and friction and wear characteristics of air bearings,radial and thrust dynamic pressure air bearings performance platforms were designed,which provided a test platform foundation for further characteristic tests.Finally,based on the radial and thrust dynamic pressure air bearings performance platforms and test method,in view of the existing radial and thrust bearing,the performance tests were carried out,including speed,temperature,vibration,load,etc.Through to the takeoff speed,friction torque,temperature distribution,loading coefficient and friction and wear of the air bearings are analyzed,to verify.A complete air bearing performance test analysis means were obtained and verified.
