The widespread popularity of automobiles has revealed the drawbacks of traditional fuel vehicles.They not only consume a large amount of non renewable fuel resources,but also emit toxic substances that are harmful to the environment,exacerbating the global greenhouse effect.This goes against China’s unwavering pursuit of the development concept of "green mountains and clear waters are like mountains and silver".Therefore,China attaches great importance to the promotion and development of the new energy vehicle industry.As early as2001,China began to adopt fiscal and tax preferential policies to support the new energy vehicle industry.During the 14 th Five Year Plan period,the government proposed to focus on the development of industries such as new energy,new energy vehicles,and green environmental protection,accelerating the innovative application of key core technologies,and pointing the way for the next development of the new energy vehicle industry.As the core of the new energy vehicle industry,power battery companies have high requirements for innovative research and development,and high cost research and development investment can bring pressure to business operations.Therefore,what impact will the current fiscal and tax preferential policies have on the performance of enterprises? How should enterprises better respond when the fiscal and tax preferential policies provided by the state are constantly changing? This is a question that we need to consider and explore.Based on this,this article proposes a research topic,the impact of fiscal and tax preferential policies on the performance of new energy vehicle enterprises.This thesis adopts a single case analysis method and selects CATL,the "leading leader" of new energy vehicle power battery enterprises,as the research object.The specific research content is as follows.Firstly,this article reviews relevant literature such as fiscal and tax preferential policies,their impact on the performance of enterprises and new energy vehicle enterprises,and analyzes the theoretical basis and impact mechanism.At present,there is no consensus on the impact of fiscal and tax preferential policies on the performance of new energy vehicle enterprises.The viewpoint of this thesis is that there is a positive correlation between the two.Secondly,the current fiscal and tax preferential policies and existing problems enjoyed by the new energy vehicle industry were sorted out,and the scale of fiscal and tax policies was analyzed through statistical data from 10 listed new energy vehicle companies.Then,the scale and technological development of the new energy vehicle industry were analyzed.Next,an analysis was conducted on the operational status,innovation and research status,and financial and tax incentives enjoyed by CATL.Data from 2017 to 2021 were selected to analyze the impact of fiscal subsidies and tax incentives on CATL’s financial performance,innovation performance,market share,and employment level.Through case studies,the following conclusions can be drawn: firstly,fiscal and tax incentives have a positive impact on the financial performance of enterprises,and the positive impact of tax incentives is slightly greater than that of fiscal subsidies.Secondly,fiscal and tax preferential policies can improve the innovation performance of enterprises.In the short term,fiscal subsidies have a stronger impact on R&D output due to their strong targeting.However,as fiscal subsidies gradually decline,the improvement of enterprise innovation performance in the long term still needs to rely on tax incentives.Thirdly,fiscal and tax preferential policies help to increase the market share of enterprises.Fourthly,fiscal and tax preferential policies can stimulate local employment levels.Based on this,in order to continuously promote the development of new energy vehicle enterprises in China,this article proposes three suggestions at the government level and the enterprise level.At the government level,first,continue to improve the evaluation and supervision system of financial subsidies.The second is to enrich tax incentives and enhance the targeting of the new energy vehicle industry.Third,increase support for R&D and innovation.At the enterprise level,first,make reasonable use of fiscal and tax preferential policies to enhance innovation capabilities.The second is to closely follow national policies and improve the financial performance of enterprises.Third,identify investment and marketing directions and expand market share.
