| "Disruptive innovation" originates from the management of technological innovation.It is the re-combination and optimal allocation of resources and elements triggered by disruptive technology.The result can often lead to the emergence,transfer or disappearance of the market,and even the reconstruction of traditional industries and the creation of emerging industries.The century-old automobile industry is now in a new round of transformation of electrification,networking,intelligence and sharing.In the Chinese market,new energy vehicles have ushered in a period of rapid development and are gradually replacing traditional fuel vehicles.The vitality of new energy vehicles is inseparable from the disruptive innovation of enterprises.However,in the existing literature on disruptive innovation,there are few studies focusing on Chinese automobile enterprises,and the evaluation of their innovation performance is even less.Therefore,this paper selects BYD Automobile,a typical representative enterprise in the automobile industry,to build an evaluation system to evaluate its innovation performance through the analysis of its disruptive innovation process and the balanced scorecard method,so as to provide the development direction for other enterprises in the automobile industry in the industrial wave.This paper summarizes the existing research on disruptive innovation and performance evaluation,and combines the balanced scorecard theory,performance review theory,and stakeholder theory to build a framework and theoretical basis for case analysis.On this basis,the case study method,combined with stakeholder theory and subversive innovation theory,is used to sort out BYD’s subversive innovation process and summarize the characteristics of BYD’s subversive innovation process,providing a reference for the establishment of the evaluation system later.Then,according to the characteristics of BYD’s subversive innovation,combined with the balanced scorecard theory and performance management theory,find out the key elements and indicators of the financial dimension,customer dimension,internal process dimension and learning and growth dimension,and use the analytic hierarchy process to empower the evaluation indicators to build the performance evaluation system of BYD’s subversive innovation.Finally,use the constructed evaluation system to evaluate BYD’s subversive innovation process,verify the applicability of the evaluation system to subversive innovation evaluation,and provide improvement suggestions to enterprises.After research,this paper draws the following conclusions:First,compared with traditional innovation performance evaluation,BYD’s subversive innovation performance evaluation focuses more on the evaluation of internal process dimension and customer dimension.Second,BYD’s disruptive innovation performance is on the rise,but compared with competitors with the same gradient,it still needs to be improved.Third,the performance of B YD’s disruptive innovation performance can be seen from the proportion of each dimension in the total score.Through disruptive innovation,BYD has greatly improved its brand image,increased its market share,and its supply chain capability is also ahead of that of other enterprises.Its profitability continues to increase.However,after a long process of disruptive innovation,BYD’s attention to technological innovation has declined after its success,and it also lacks high-level talents to provide assistance for the development of the enterprise.Therefore,at the end of this paper,the following suggestions are put forward to improve the performance of disruptive innovation:first,pay attention to technological innovation,improve the frequency of technological iteration and sensitivity to market changes;Secondly,create a good culture of innovation and implement thorough subversion from inside to outside;Finally,establish and improve the feedback mechanism,constantly improve and improve the evaluation system,and improve the use effect. |
