With the development of virtual reality technology,scene simulation of ship’s navigation has experienced the change from particle to two dimensional and then to three dimensional motion equation.Different from others,ship’s navigation is affected by wind,sea current and other environmental factors.Therefore,scene simulation of ship’s navigation has always been a hot and difficult point.For the existing scene simulation of ship’s navigation has the problem of ship modeling can not take into account the details and rendering efficiency at the same time,the sea surface simulation wave tip is easy to distort,lacking of detailed analysis of external forces for ship motion,in this paper,on the basis of summarizing ship modeling,sea surface simulation and ship motion simulation,by using 3ds Max software and polygon modeling method,With UVLayout,ZBrush and other software to complete the ship modeling,through the Perlin noise algorithm to complete the sea surface modeling,using MMG thought to establish 6-DOF equation,and detailed analysis of the wind,sea current on the ship movement.The main research contents and achievements of this paper are as follows:Firstly,the visualization and motion function of the system are analyzed,the technical route is determined,the overall design of the system is carried out and the system flow chart is given.Secondly,the common virtual ship modeling methods are studied and analyzed,and the appropriate modeling method is selected through comparative analysis and combined with the geometry and motion characteristics of the ship model.The geometric modeling of the virtual ship was completed by 3ds Max modeling software,and the 6-DOF motion model of the ship and the motion model under the disturbance of wind and flow were completed according to the dynamics principle.Then,combined with Perlin noise algorithm and unity3 D engine to complete the construction of the ship sailing environment,add particle system to simulate rain and snow weather effects to the system,use cubic Bezier curve algorithm to achieve stern wake effects,and use hierarchical bounding box method to conduct collision detection on the hull to further enhance the immersion of the system.Finally,the program of controlling ship navigation is written and the human-computer interaction interface is designed by using Unity graphical user interface design system.the scene simulation of virtual ship’s 6-DOF navigation system is realized,in which users can set navigation environment parameters online in real time and roam autonomically from the third perspective.
