| With the rapid development of information and communication technology recently, digital economy plays an increasingly important role in economic development and has become the focus of attention of all countries. In 2022,General Secretary Xi Jinping once again stressed on the magazine Seeking Truth that we should constantly strengthen, optimize and expand China’s digital economy. In order to comprehensively and deeply analyze the digital economy, many scholars have studied the scope of accounting, the scale of added value, the impact effect and other aspects of the digital economy. However, due to the incompleteness of data, most scholars measure the overall scale of the digital economy, and their understanding of the internal structure of the digital economy, especially the differences in industry scale,is relatively insufficient. Moreover, the application research on the impact effects of the digital economy needs to be strengthened, and the research on the input-output table of the digital economy is still in its infancy.First of all, this paper combs the relevant basic theories of digital economy, and selects the most appropriate measurement method and separation method of the digital economy on the basis of the connotation and the accounting scope.Based on clarifying the basic concepts of input-output method, this paper discusses the compilation method of input-output table of the digital economy and the application of input-output method in industrial correlation effect, employment effect and income effect.Secondly, this paper calculates the scale of digital economy industry in Zhejiang and obtains the industry separation coefficient,so as to compile the input-output table of digital economy in Zhejiang. This paper builds a growth accounting framework to measure the industry scale of the integrated digital economy,so as to obtain the proportion of the industry scale of the digital economy in the industry’s added value, which is the separation coefficient of the digital economy.Following the preparation idea of "module splitting → module recombining",this paper separates the original input-output table by using the separation coefficient of the digital economy and by quadrant, and then recombines the intermediate use module, the initial input module and the final use module,so as to obtain Zhejiang’s input-output table of the digital economy from 2006 to 2019Finally,based on the input-output table of the digital economy in Zhejiang, this paper uses the input-output methods to analyze the industrial correlation effect, employment effect and income effect of the digital economy.Structural path analysis and average propagation length are used to analyze the industrial correlation effect, and structural decomposition analysis is used to analyze the growth power source of the digital economy sector. The employment coefficient is used to analyze the employment impact of the digital economy sector, and structural path analysis is used to analyze the effect of digital economy on the distribution of factor income from the perspective of final demand. The partial closed input-output model of digital economy is built to measure employment multiplier and income multiplier. The main conclusions are as follows: First, the digital economy in Zhejiang is developing well, and there are great differences among different industries of the digital economy.Second, the industrial correlation effect of Zhejiang’s digital economy presents different characteristics among the three industries, and the industrial correlation mechanism will become the main driving force for future development.Third, the employment effect and income effect of digital economy in Zhejiang are relatively significant.Fourthly, the expansion of the final demand of digital economy in Zhejiang is conducive to the distribution of factor income towards labor factors. The main contributions are as follows: First, this paper puts forward the idea of "using the growth accounting framework and the ICT spillover weight to calculate the separation coefficient of the digital economy and compile the input-output tables of the digital economy",and takes Zhejiang as an example to actually compile the input-output tables of the digital economy, which provides a replicable experience for the compilation.Second, this paper breaks through the barrier of missing basic data and systematically compiles Zhejiang’s input-output tables of the digital economy for 14 consecutive years from 2006 to 2019,providing a rich data set for the research on the macro effects of the digital economy.Third, this paper systematically studies the industrial correlation, employment and income effects of the digital economy in Zhejiang by using the inputoutput methods, like structural path analysis and the partial closed input-output model, which is an extension and deepening of existing research. |
