| The four basic elements of gardening are mountain building,water management,architecture,and plants.The ground,which connects these four basic elements,plays a crucial role in landscaping.This article takes the Jiangnan region as a stopping point,with a time range from the beginning of the Sui Dynasty(581 AD)to before the establishment of the People’s Republic of China(1949).Through research on the classical garden flooring in the Jiangnan region,we aim to explore its historical appearance,protect its cultural heritage value,promote cultural inheritance and innovation,and provide a basis for the scientific restoration and protection of ancient garden flooring,At the same time,it also has certain reference significance for modern garden ground landscape design.Collect valuable data through ancient books,paintings,documents and other channels,and take a large number of ground photos of some famous gardens in the south of the Yangtze River through field survey.Integrating philosophy,semiotics,landscape,aesthetics and other multidisciplinary theories,this paper mainly explores the historical appearance of the classical garden floor in the south of the Yangtze River and the way the floor and other garden elements cooperate to create scenery,and draws the following innovative conclusions:(1)Systematically classify,summarize,explore,and sort out the historical appearance of classical garden floors in Jiangnan from the perspectives of culture and art.From a macro perspective,it can be divided into gray soil ground,plant ground,stone living ground,various brick ground,and flower street paving.Based on this,from a micro perspective,the micro differences among them are searched for,and different styles in the micro differences are named.(2)Summarize the style differences of Jiangnan garden flooring in different periods.In the Tang Dynasty,patterns were often used for decoration on the ground,exhibiting the characteristics of grandeur and grandeur;The ground design during the Song and Yuan dynasties placed greater emphasis on changes in texture and color,highlighting regularity,tidiness,and sense of order;In the Ming Dynasty,more emphasis was placed on artistic and decorative aspects,emphasizing the beauty of its shape and the embodiment of aesthetic awareness and cultural value;During the period from the Qing Dynasty to the establishment of the Republic,ground design pursued natural beauty and cultural significance,emphasizing the symbolic significance behind the patterns,and the smell of the market became even stronger.(3)Summarize the detailed relationship between other elements of landscaping and the floor,and summarize the techniques for coordinating landscaping between them.The relationship between the horizon and the building structure is emphasized by the use of buildings,eaves corridors,and outdoor floors to highlight the main form of the building;The garden road achieves the effect of "moving step by step with different scenery" by ingenious combination of changing stacking direction and materials;Highlight the height changes of the rockery through the shape of the ground and the paving material;Plants on the ground act as a support for objects and emotions,complementing and complementing the ground;The landscaping techniques of the ground and water bodies are reflected in the "dry garden water work".(4)According to the importance of historical value,cultural value,artistic value,material and shape,the protection and restoration of classical garden floors are classified and protected. |
