Large foreign international logistics enterprises have been increasing investment and expanding new branches since China opens international freight forwarding industry.Small and medium-sized foreign international logistics enterprises are setting up branches in China.Large Chinese international logistics enterprises are expanding overseas networks and increasing domestic market competition.Chinese small and medium-sized international logistics enterprises are blooming.With the highly marketoriented international freight forwarders,the air export competition is becoming more and more fierce.Due to the intensification of external competition and operation process efficiency issue,K Company air export department’s some customers lost,operating revenue and profit reduced,marketing competition gettting weak.Based on process management theory and lean thinking,this thesis analyzes and studies the air export operation process of K Company by using value flow diagram and process optimization technology.Due to inefficient business process,untimely feedback and low accuracy,the air export department some customers lost and performance is not good.By analyzing the current value flow diagram and time data,it is found that the causes of business process issue are long lead time,long process time,many process links and unbalanced workload.The IE flow chart is used to analyze the air export operation process in detail,and then the optimization scheme is formulated.Using automatic and paperless optimization of issuing waybill and pre-alert,as well as cost settlement processes;ECRS is used to optimize the design of some operation processes and delete non value-added and redundant links;Optimize the post workload and achieve work balance by intuitive judgment method.Finally,establish safeguard measures and implement the air export operation process optimization scheme,and then draw the value flow diagram after process optimization.Comparing the data before and after the process optimization,the results show that the process optimization is effective,the operation process time is shortened,the efficiency is improved and cost is reduced.The demonstration and analysis,solutions,process optimization process and results of this thesis prove that lean thinking is feasible and effective for the operation process optimization of international freight forwarding companies,also provide reference for other branches of K Company in China and same industry companies with similar operation modes.
