Research On Landscape Improvement Design Of Children’s Recreation Space Under The Experience Of "Five Senses"

Children’s play spaces are a medium that promotes children’s physical and mental development and connects with nature.After the promulgation of the proposal to build a child-friendly city in 2021,the development of children’s recreation space has once again attracted attention from all walks of life.At the current stage,China’s children’s recreation space is still dominated by mechanical entertainment facilities,which cannot make children have a direct perceptual connection with the landscape.Based on the above factors,the "five senses" experience design concept is integrated into the design of children’s recreation space,and an activity environment with mutual perception of the landscape is created,with the aim of promoting the healthy growth of children.Take the particularity of the "five senses" experience in the landscape as the starting point for the improvement of children’s recreation space.Firstly,based on the background of the country’s vigorous efforts to build a child-friendly city,this paper analyzes the current research status at home and abroad,and clarifies the development process,characteristics and future development direction of the "five senses" experience and children’s recreation space.On this basis,literature analysis,questionnaire survey,comprehensive analysis and other research methods are used to explore the relationship between the "five senses" experience and children’s recreation space,and discuss the feasibility and practical significance of integrating the "five senses" experience into the children’s recreation space to improve the design.Secondly,the relevant concepts,theories,and children’s groups are analyzed,and the importance of landscape environment to children’s growth stage is summarized.Through field research,the historical development and site status of Xi’an Children’s Park were analyzed,and the landscape characteristics and existing problems of Xi’an Children’s Park were summarized.According to the results of questionnaire survey and post-use evaluation of children and parents,the children’s needs for recreation space and parents’ suggestions and expectations for space were summarized.Finally,according to the theoretical framework of "Five Senses" experience,the design principles and strategies of children’s recreation space are proposed,the existing resources are excavated,the improvement direction of children’s parks is determined,and the feasibility of "Five Senses" experience in children’s recreation space is further demonstrated.Taking Xi’an Children’s Park as the practical research object,theoretical and practical exploration of existing problems is carried out,specific improvement strategies and design methods are summarized,the landscape perception environment is optimized,and the active development of children’s recreation space is promoted.This paper aims to provide theoretical and practical basis for the landscape design of children’s recreation space under the experience of "five senses",provide ideas for how to create a landscape environment conducive to children’s physical and mental development,and provide new perspectives and methods for the development of similar children’s recreation space.
