Research On The Protection And Design Of The Habitat Of Rural Egrets Based On Research Trips

Heron has important ecological value and is an indicator animal for environmental quality assessment.The rural environment is more diverse,providing a variety of habitats such as hiding,foraging,and nesting for egrets.Coinciding with the upsurge of research travel,the public’s demand for bird watching and bird science is very strong.Therefore,on the basis of protecting the existing ecology of the countryside,divide the areas where egrets inhabit and human activities,optimize and transform the rural environment,create suitable habitats for egrets,and implement scientific research into planning and design to enhance people’s awareness of egrets.It has important value and significance for protecting the habitat of egrets and developing rural research.In this paper,the bird observation records in Changsha in 2020 and 2021 are firstly sorted out,and a total of 12 species of 8 genera and 12 species of egrets are commonly found in Changsha.Through literature research on the related theories of egrets’ habits and habitats,it summarizes egrets’ foraging environment,personality,breeding time,nesting location,nesting location,tree species morphology,migration and other habits of egrets.Then,it made an indepth analysis of four bird habitat protection design cases,including Guangzhou Haizhu Wetland Park,Taizhou Jianyang Lake Wetland Park,Beijing Yeya Lake National Wetland Park,and Tianjin Lingang Ecological Wetland Park Phase II,and learned from them excellent concepts and principles.Finally,combine the egret habitat with research trips to form a research-based rural egret habitat planning and design strategy.The four principles of protection of egrets,habitat creation,adaptation to local conditions,and combination of research and study are put forward,and rural egret habitats that can be developed and studied are selected and divided according to the degree of human activities.Propose design requirements for water depth,islands,water systems,revetments,water bodies,woodland habitats,wetland habitats,near-water habitats,attracting and designing birds,blocking disturbances,and bird watching facilities.The research courses are concentrated in March-May and September-November,and the content is mainly based on observation of foraging,appearance,breeding feathers,and activity patterns.Select a part of Jianlou Village as the practice area,based on the protection of local excellent egret resources,and appropriately develop bird watching and research resources.On the premise of investigating the local background,and in accordance with the theories summarized above,specific plans for planning and design are proposed for areas,routes,habitats,water systems,roads,and plants,and the theoretical results are applied to practice.Through the above theoretical research and practical design,it can provide reference materials for the development and utilization of rural egret resources.
