| In the context of my country’s construction industry entering a period of accelerated transformation and a new stage of high-quality development,it is more urgent to achieve the goal of continuous improvement in project performance, and the importance of cooperation is more prominent. The related research on construction projects shows that the cooperation between all parties involved in construction projects is closely related to the improvement of project performance, and is a key factor to achieve project objectives and promote project performance improvement. However,in our country’s engineering practice, there are still phenomena such as low level of cooperation between organizations and poor project performance. The reason is that the current research on the relationship governance of construction projects is mainly based on the organizational level, and does not involve the individual level, that is,the interaction between the organization and the boundary personnel of the organization, and ignores the cross-organizational Guanxi in the informal relationship governance mechanism.Governance function. The governance level under this governance framework is not the real project governance level,so it lacks explanatory power accordingly.Based on this, constructing a conceptual framework of cross-organizational Guanxi-cooperative behavior, and exploring the internal mechanism of cross-organizational Guanxi and cooperative behavior under this framework is of great significance for promoting the improvement of construction project cooperation performance and developing construction project governance theory.Based on the theory of social exchange, combined with related researches on sociological theory and relational contract theory, this study sorts out and defines the connotation and dimensions of cross-organizational Guanxi, and introduces relationship norms(trust, commitment, and reciprocity)and inter-organizational relationships as mediating variables.,proposes relational hypotheses among cross-organizational Guanxi,inter-organizational relations, relational norms, and cooperative behaviors and constructs a conceptual model.A total of 395 valid questionnaires were collected through the questionnaire survey, and the reliability and validity of the measurement scale of the research construct were tested by SPSS 23.0software,and the proposed research hypothesis was tested empirically by Amos 26.0.Through empirical analysis and testing,it is demonstrated that the cross-organizational Guanxi is complementary to the organizational level perspective in the relationship governance mechanism. The cross-organizational Guanxi has an indirect effect on cooperative behavior, and at the same time,it also discusses the role boundary that affects the cross-organizational Guanxi, that is,the complexity characteristics of the project and the institutional environment are in the cross-organizational Guanxi and the inter-organizational relationship, and the cross-organizational Guanxi and relationship norms. There is a positive regulatory effect between norms. In addition, this study draws management implications based on the conclusions: based on the individual level in the project, the promotion of cross-organizational personal relationships is played, and the barriers to cooperation between organizations participating in construction projects can be broken from the three aspects of trust, commitment, and reciprocity,so as to promote the development of inter-organizational relationships.Improve, and increase the opportunity and willingness of inter-organizational cooperation by adjusting the boundary conditions of cross-organizational personal relations. The research results provide theoretical guidance for solving the dilemma of cooperation between construction project organizations to improve project performance. |
