The Design And Research Of The Display Space Wall Based On The Screen Wall

As one of the representatives in traditional Chinese ancient architecture since antiquity,the screen wall serves a critical role in walls,which can show the taste,status,and wealth of owners at that time.Therefore,the screen wall in such aspects as shapes,materials,and scale must follow specific paradigms and rules and is reflect the traditional Chinese cultural ideas and connotations.Although the screen wall in modern architecture rarely appears only as a wall due to the changes in architectural form and behaviors,its function,inner ideas,and application forms have been passed and are applied to modern society.With the domestic cultural undertaking developing,we increasingly emphasize cultural communication.While various display activities are growing in scale and number,the form of the display develops diversified in China based on increasing display types with higher requirements for planning and design.In addition to playing a key to the psychology and behaviors of visitors alongside items on display,the wall in the display space has multiple functions including clarifying themes,expressing atmosphere,splitting and connecting areas,dividing crowds,and guiding tour routes.The design mode of the wall has shifted from simple graphic design to space design that focuses on the whole atmosphere of the theme and behaviors and psychological feelings of people.The study investigates and analyzes the main functions,forms and realism of the wall in modern display space based on relevant functions of the traditional Chinese screen wall.The study can help further know the rational design of the wall in modern display space in space circulation,and the psychology and behaviors of people,This ancient for the present,the combination of traditional and innovative ways of application,which is conducive to passing and developing traditional Chinese history and culture.Through investigating the status quo of domestic and foreign studies in this field,there has been little research on the wall in display space and exceedingly rare in this field based on the screen wall in China as we found.Considering our unique cultural ideas and behaviors on the basis of profound cultural deposits different from others,the design of the wall in the display space needs to align with the local culture and fulfill the local visitors’ psychological and behavioral characteristics of visitors.Therefore,the study discusses the wall in display space based on the screen wall and applies functional ideas and cultural connotation implied in the screen wall to the display space in moderation,helping intensive study in this field in China.For the starting point of the functions and cultural connotation of the screen wall in the display space,the study provides a new prospect for studying the traditional Chinese screen wall and the application value and a new direction of application for spreading traditional culture and opens up the design ideas for the wall in display space.It also has practical significance and value for the traditional Chinese screen wall,wall design for display space,and inheritance and innovation of the traditional culture.
