Research Strategy Of Old Town Urban Regeneration Based On Cultural Gene Theory

In the past 40 years,the urban construction of our country has made great development and progress,but the extensive construction and rapid development also let the city face the disappearance of characteristics.More and more cities are aware of the great impact of culture on contemporary social and economic life,and culture has gradually become a strategic and pillar industry of cities,injecting new power for the future development of cities.The old city is the spatial carrier of history,culture and memory in urban development,as well as the spiritual driving force for the future development of the city.A large number of material and intangible cultural heritages have been increasingly concerned by the society.Especially at present,the city development in our country has entered the stock renewal stage,the old city,as an important part of the city construction once faced a new problem again,how to excavate the city culture,use culture to lead the city construction,drive the city rejuvenation is a new issue of the current city renewal.This study explores a new path of cultural gene-oriented revitalization of the old city.Starting from the theoretical study of cultural gene and urban Renaissance,the paper expounds the interaction of urban culture and urban Renaissance in social development,economic development and material space.Secondly,the analysis system of the five cultural genes of the Old City was constructed,and the cultural resources of the old City were refined into the most representative five cultural genes of style,activity,business,ecology and form.The five principal components and 28 specific evaluation indicators were determined through literature search and expert consultation,so as to determine the evaluation and screening model of the cultural genes of the old city.The expert investigation method and analytic hierarchy process were used to calculate the weight,further simplify and optimize the cultural gene map of the old city stage,corresponding the material form and cultural connotation of the five state cultural genes,and forming the model and program of the revival of the old city from the perspective of cultural genes.Finally,the study is applied in the practice of the revitalization of the old city of Kunshan,the cultural gene map of the stage of the old city of Kunshan is constructed,and the goal and strategy of the revitalization of the old city of Kunshan from the perspective of cultural gene is proposed,which provides new ideas for the protection planning and development of the old city of Kunshan.Cultural genes come from the psychological structure and ideology at the bottom of the urban evolution,and subtly influence the formation and development of urban material space and social economy through social operation and communication.Relying on cultural genes to revive the old city can integrate the most essential urban culture into the material space and give it cultural significance,extend the urban context,activate the new development of the old city,achieve the common improvement of material and spiritual levels,and achieve the ultimate goal of comprehensive urban rejuvenation.
