A Research On The Correlation Between Spatial Characteristics Of Pubilc Space And Social Activities Of Young People In Urban Villages

Urban villages can provide low rent housing for urban young people,and their public space carries a relatively rich content of life.However,the public space of most urban villages cannot meet the outdoor social needs of a large number of young people.Therefore,it is of great guiding significance to explore the relationship between the social activities of young people and the public space form of urban villages in order to create a dynamic public space of urban villages.This paper will take Shangshe Village,which has a high proportion of young people,as an example,and take the social activities of young people in the public space of urban villages as the starting point.It will use SD subjective evaluation method and questionnaire method to deeply analyze the types of social behaviors of young people in the public space of Shangshe Village,the needs and evaluation of young people’s social activities on public space,and combine the theory of public space morphology and space syntax,from the geometric characteristics of space Analyze the public space form of Shangshe Village from three aspects of fabric characteristics and infrastructure configuration,analyze the social activity characteristics of young people in Shangshe Village from two aspects of social activity scale and social activity type,combine qualitative and quantitative analysis methods,discuss the correlation between the public space form of Shangshe Village and the social activity characteristics of young people,and find out the social activity rules of young people in the public space of urban villages,Thus put forward the transformation strategy of public space in urban villages,and provide reference for the transformation of public space in urban villages in the future.The research results show that young people have different needs for the material form of communication space when they engage in different types of communication activities.The short term communication activities of young people need a lively humanistic environment and broad vision in the space,while the long term communication activities need a good infrastructure in the space.In addition,the social activities of young people in most public spaces of Shangshe Village are few in number and single in type.The reason is that there are several prominent problems in the space of the community: closed interface,outdated or unreasonable infrastructure configuration,the inability of different age groups to blend,the weak potential of most spaces to gather people and the space with strong potential to attract people has been left unused.Based on the above problems,the following suggestions are put forward: first,open the space interface,then optimize the infrastructure and its distribution,then place space devices and soft partitions to divide the space functions to meet the communication needs of different ages,and finally,make full use of the space with strong potential to attract people by improving the community management ability.
