Research On The Optimization Strategy Of Guangzhou’s Trade Space Under The Background Of The Construction Of International Trade Center

Guangzhou is the " Millennium Commercial Capital" with a long history in China,and has been entrusted with the urban function of "International Trade Center" by the state.For years,the research results of the industry on how to build an "International Trade Center" have focused on the macro strategic and industrial level of the city,while the research on the construction of an international trade center city in urban space perspective is still lacking.Various types of influential urban trade spaces in Guangzhou,such as professional markets,convention and exhibition centers,are large in scale and widely distributed.They assume the core "trade" function of Guangzhou’s "International Trade Center",which has an important impact on the overall structure and function of the city.Therefore,based on the background of "the construction of International Trade Center",how to optimize,integrate and improve these spaces,and reasonably organize the city’s trade function,is particularly important for promoting the construction of Guangzhou as an "International Trade Center".On the other hand,with the development of new technologies,formats and models of commercial trade,the improvement of Guangzhou’s city level and the continuous optimization of its industrial structure conduce severe challenges,especially for the traditional trade spaces such as professional markets.Various active or passive transformation,upgrading,relocation and transformation activities are frequent.The urban trade space is undergoing spatial reconstruction in the new development stage.Based on years of work research and subject experience,this paper intends to adopt the research method of combining "qualitative" and "quantitative","industrial" and "spatial","theories" and "cases",and the research path of "posing problems-theoretical research-case analysis-status quo demonstration-finding gaps-solving problems-summarizing suggestions".The article starts from the concept and definition,systematically expounds the formation conditions of the international trade center city,and on this basis,puts forward the main composition of the urban trade space under the definition of the trade center.Then,the article combs the development pattern,distribution characteristics and type characteristics of international trade center cities,and analyzes the trade space development laws of some trade center cities with cases,laying a foundation for the subsequent optimization of Guangzhou’s urban trade space;Then the article focuses on the sorting and analysis of Guangzhou’s urban trade space,and studies the development process,development rules,problems at this stage and other aspects of various key spaces undertaking Guangzhou’s trade function.Next,under the guidance of the goal and strategy of building an international trade center in Guangzhou,and in combination with the relevant planning requirements,the article proposes space optimization strategies and renovation strategies for Guangzhou’s urban trade space.Finally,the application of the research results and the shortcomings are prospected.This paper can put forward strategies and suggestions based on urban planning for Guangzhou to build an international trade center,and also play a reference role in the preparation of urban planning at all levels in Guangzhou.
