The Research On The Evolution Of Hangzhou Collective Housing Type

Residential is an important carrier of people’s family and life.In the more than70 years after the founding of New China,residential and its housing unit type have also undergone staged evolution.As a product of the times that takes into account social policies,markets and technical norms,collective housing is a living model that adapts to Chinese high density and high population.Hangzhou has rapidly developed its style of a housing system with the geographical environment and humanistic feelings of being surrounded by mountains and rivers.This paper takes the collective housing in the main urban area of Hangzhou as the research object,combines the development history of China and Hangzhou collective housing,and selects the typical collective housing examples in Hangzhou at various stages after the founding of the People’s Republic of China as the object.It expands from two dimensions,further expounds the process and trend of its change,and summarizes the evolution law and its development motivation.There are three periods contribute to the development of collective housing in Hangzhou: welfare housing based on sleeping and subsistence-type housing at the beginning(1949-1990s);from the early 1990 s to the early 21 st century,commercialized housing towards comfortable housing period;the mature development period of diversified housing after the 21 st century.The full text consists of five chapters.The introduction chapter revealing the research background and purpose,summarizing the related evolution theories of collective housing,and introducing the idea and framework of the article.The second chapter is the basic research,which sorts out the main development process of China’s collective housing,the relevant norms of residential design,policy development,and the general situation of Hangzhou’s urban construction,and further analyzes the factors that affect the collective housing unit type.The following two chapters are the analyses of housing evolution,summarizing and reviewing the historical background of the development of Hangzhou’s collective housing,furthermore,giving an in-depth analysis of the evolution of Hangzhou’s collective housing from the overall spatial combination and the evolution of a single functional space sorting out the law and characteristics of the changes of housing unit type in each historical period.The final chapter gives a further expectation of Hangzhou’s collective housing unit type from the differences between Hangzhou and other areas.To study the evolution of housing unit type,discuss the law and experience of evolution from the perspective of history,and provide a valuable reference for the further development of reasonable and effective Hangzhou collective housing unit type design work in the future.
