| The rapid development of global knowledge economy and experience economy has promoted the prosperity of cultural and creative industries.Yixing teapots have contributed positively to the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage,but still face more challenges in terms of design innovation and adaptation to users’ emotional needs.This paper aims to combine virtual reality and multi-mode measurement to evaluate users’ emotional preference and perception for the modeling of Yixing teapots.To illustrate how the relationship between users’ emotional perception and product design features can be examined quantitatively,physiological measurement data and subjective evaluation were analyzed.The study provides an objective method for evaluating users’ emotional preference and practical references for the future modeling design of Yixing teapots.Based on the theoretical framework of kansei engineering,virtual reality,eye tracking and GSR techniques,firstly,typical Yixing teapot samples and representative Kansei words that can assess users’ perception of Yixing teapots modeling were obtained by statistical methods.3d models of these representative samples were constructed and divided into six morphological components by using morphological analysis.At the same time,the experimental scene under virtual reality was designed and developed.Secondly,the multi-mode emotion measurement experiment was conducted under virtual reality.Eye tracking and GSR signals were simultaneously recorded when participants were viewing and judging their preference for the product modeling,and physiological indicators that had a significant effect on users’ emotional preference were obtained by statistical analysis.Subsequently,the relationship between subjective emotional perception,physiological indicators and the product design features of Yixing teapots was established by developing Quantification Theory Type I models.The optimized combination of design features that match the users’ emotional preference was obtained.Finally,based on this optimized combination,the innovative solution of Yixing teapot product design is designed and evaluated to verify that this design solution meets the users’ emotional preference and is optimized and innovative.This work provides an objective and comprehensive evaluation of users’ preference and perception via combining virtual reality and multi-mode measurement,so as to establish a more accurate and objective product emotional measurement method.The cultural and creative products of Yixing teapots will be more in line with the users’ emotional needs in the future. |
