Service design is a human-centered,collaborative,holistic approach that focuses on improving existing services or creating new ones.Teamwork has become an important approach to service design development and innovation,enabling collaborative team creativity through mutual communication and sharing of knowledge and information among team members to advance the design process.In the current research on collaborative creativity in service design teams,the focus is still on the knowledge background,cognitive composition and use of tools of team members,and there is a gap in research on the differences in service design thinking of team members.Differences in individual thinking in design teams are an important factor affecting the team’s design output,and factors such as the type of thinking of team members,the thinking composition of the team and the role that members play in collaboration are integral to the enhancement of collaborative team creativity.Therefore,based on the above background,the research content of this thesis is determined: The Research on The Assessment of Team Collaboration Creativity Based on Service Design Thinking Differences.Firstly,this thesis discusses the elements,principles and processes of service design based on the literature study,combines the characteristics of design activities in the team model,explains the importance of team composition,task allocation and collaboration patterns,and summarises the five dimensions of service design creativity assessment.Then,through a review of service design and its processes,an assessment framework for service design thinking is constructed based on the five dimensions of empathize,define,ideate,prototype and test,comprising ten sub-dimensions of empathy,people-centrism,multi-perspective,interviewing,scenario insight,brainstorming,collaboration,service prototyping,test and reflect.Next,a Service Design Thinking Test(hereafter referred to as SDTT)was developed based on the assessment framework and test development process.Secondly,this thesis validates the SDTT through an experimental study.The data analysis shows that the SDTT has good reliability and validity and can differentiate between the service design thinking differences of the participants.The SDTT was then validated and iterated through the analysis of the experimental data.The analysis of the SDTT results revealed differences between novice service designers and experts in different dimensions of service design thinking,and four types of service design thinking among novice service designers: empathic,conceptual,decentralized and reflective.Finally,this thesis sets up a design experiment to explore the influence of service design thinking on team design creativity.Based on the results of SDTT,the analysis of service design thinking differences of team members and team design outcomes summarizes the thinking factors that influence service design creativity,and discusses individual differences,team composition,and collaboration strategies that influence team collaboration creativity,and makes suggestions for the improvement of team creativity.This study is exploratory research on the assessment of service design thinking for collaborative team creativity,which can provide some reference ideas for the study of individual thinking differences and the identification of designers’ thinking potential,and provide some insights into the perspective of enhancing collaborative creativity in design teams. |
