At the end of the twentieth century,mankind began the greatest technological innovation and change in history.Due to the development of computer and informati on technology,whether in production,entertainment,communication,or even education,human society was entering the digital age in all aspects.Several famous contemporary architects and firms have emerged successively,such as Zaha Hadid,Frank Owen Gehry,UNStudio and so on,they contributed a lot of digital architectural works,and at the same time promoted a large number of masters who used digital means to create architectural works to come out,such as MAD,SANAA and so on.Therefore,the proportion of digital architecture in the construction market is gradually increasing.Therefore,after the 1990 s,digital architectural education has gradually been valued.The traditional architectural education syst em is impacted by the concepts and technologies of the digital age,and the development of digital technology also provides opportunities for the integration of architectural education resources.Digital design education will eventually play a key role in future architectural education.In Mao-Lin Qiu CAAD TALKS 3(2003),it is proposed that its development will be better than a traditional educational program.On the one hand,digital design education communicates with methods,knowledge,and architecture,while on the other hand,the curriculum communicates with the inner world of history,technology,design,and expertise.Digital tools are used in the process of thinking,designing and constructing architecture,and it has become the basic working mode i n the related design field.Nowadays,various universities and colleges in China have established courses and curricula related to digital architectural design in architectural education.However,there is no doubt that the teaching of digital architectura l design is still in the process of exploration,and a set of internationally competitive teaching mode of digital architectural design has not yet been established.This study first compiles information on the differences between digital and non-digital architectural education.Then,implement the exis ting four schools that are early and experienced in construction education.For example,the paper free studio of Columbia University in New York,the multimedia lab of MIT,Architectural Association School,and the B-PRO program of UCL The Bartlett School of Architecture have made teaching case analysis on digital architectural design teaching.The four schools use various computer software technologies in the digital age to explore digital design methods for buildings to establish relevant common characteristic indicators.The questionnaire is used to investigate the domestic students who have studied digital architectural design related courses,and investigate the influence and problems of students on the current digital architectural design teaching.Interviews were conducted with students who had studied in two or three of the above four schools.And understood the influence and effect of the school’s teaching characteristics.Finally,the establishment o f the problem and the effectiveness of the feedback analysis,in order to put forward some indicators for the current domestic colleges and universities digital architectural design teaching and improve the related issues. |
