Bulk material transportation is an important part of social production and life,with energy conservation and emission reduction,green development and other mainstream ideas in recent years,air cushion belt conveyor due to less energy consumption,low input costs and simple maintenance and other advantages are widely used.For a long time,intermediate discharge has become a thorny problem encountered in the use of air cushion belt conveyor,and the way of plough unloader is often used,which not only needs to be used with the transition air chamber but also uses the lifting device in the form of a roller set,and the mechanism is more cumbersome.In this paper,with the design goal of continuously opening the air chamber of the air cushion belt conveyor,a new intermediate discharge method for the air cushion belt conveyor is proposed,and the corresponding components are optimized.In this paper,it is proposed that the plow discharge plate be designed into a curved shape(called the discharge shovel),so that the discharge shovel arc corresponds to the disc groove shape structure of the air cushion belt conveyor.After that,the bulk theory was applied to the collision between the particles of the material to analyze the working load,and the flow of the air film was studied by applying the knowledge of fluid mechanics.The disc groove pore structure of the air cushion belt conveyor has been improved to meet the discharge needs.Using the 3D software Solidworks to model the structure and air chamber of the discharge shovel,and using EDEM to analyze and compare the influence of the structure of the discharge shovel and the properties of the material on the discharge,the CFX fluid module in Ansys Workbench simulates the improved air chamber.The results show that the material accumulates on both sides of the discharge shovel,and compared with the single-sided discharge shovel,the force received by the conveyor belt is more uniform when using the double-sided discharge shovel;the angle between the curved discharge plate and the conveyor belt also has an impact on the discharge,and within a certain range,the smaller the angle of the conveyor belt,the smaller the force received by the conveyor belt;compared with the transportation of several different size particles,it is found that the maximum force on the conveyor belt is smaller when the particles are smaller;compared with several particles with different water content,it is found that the material with less water content is more suitable for this structure The pressure of the air film at the end of the material accumulation was increased,and the pressure of the air film increased significantly;then the deformation of the conveyor belt was simulated and analyzed by fluid-structure interaction,and it was found that the deformation of the conveyor belt would affect the stability of the air film,so it was recommended to use the conveying of the wire rope core to improve the strength and reduce the impact on the air film.
