At a time when the economy is running at a high speed and urban development has fallen into the bottleneck of homogenization, the protection of historical blocks has become the focus of attention of heritage protection workers and even those related to urban planning and construction. After a large number of historical blocks in our country have undergone large-scale renovation practices, problems such as "gentrification",excessive commercialization, and "hollowing" of the blocks still emerge one after another. The original social relations and historical culture in the block.Beijing’s historic block renewal work is currently in full swing, and Beijing,as the capital of goodness,is an example for cities across the country to carry out renewal work. This paper starts from the problem and conducts research from the following perspectives.Through the research on the existing evaluation system of historical blocks,it is found that a relatively complete evaluation system for the status quo has not yet been formed for the renewal of historical blocks. The existing system focuses on the architectural form and street environment in the block, and pays less attention to the production and living needs of residents, merchants and other groups in the block. This makes the transformation of historical blocks often unsustainable. On this basis, the French thinker Lefebvre’s theory of “triadic dialectics of space” is introduced.By summarizing the birth and development of the theory,it is concluded that the ternary nature of space in historical blocks means that the space ontology has materiality and spirituality.,sociality, and the ontology of space leads to the three space production processes of space practice, space representation and representation space, and the value of space justice needs to be implemented in the process of space production. As a special and complicated block form, the historical block needs to be evaluated by introducing the theory of spatial triadic dialectics to find out the crux of various problems.By taking stock of the perspectives of spatial evaluation in the block and clarifying the object of spatial evaluation, this paper establishes a spatial evaluation tool for historical blocks from the perspective of spatial triadic dialectics combining spatial ontology and space production research. This paper chooses Yanshou block as the research object.First of all, research on the block space ontology, starting from three aspects: material space, spiritual space, and social space, evaluate the block space ontology through actual research and data induction, and summarize the existing physical space of Yanshou historical block space ontology.Poor continuity of spiritual space and aging and confusion of social space.Based on the evaluation of the ontology of space, this paper then evaluates the situation of space production.Through the combination of the perspectives of various groups in the space, the research object is limited to the semi-public space and public space of the block. From the bottom-up perspective of residents and commercial tenants, the top-down perspective of government management and architects, and the perspective of game in space, the spatial practice, spatial representation and representational space of space production are evaluated. It is concluded that there are problems in the space production of Yanshou historical blocks, such as unclear division of space rights, lack of discourse power of vulnerable groups in the renewal process, and failure to establish new production relations after renewal. After clarifying the spatial ontology and space production of the Yanshou historical block, this paper proposes a renewal strategy for the Yanshou block. The sustainable renewal of Yanshou Block is realized by improving the space ontology and ensuring the justice of space production.
