With the significant expansion of my country’s aging trend,the degree of China’s population aging continues to deepen.Being able to actively and reasonably respond to the aging of the population is an important measure to maintain national security and social harmony and stability.As far as the current Chinese bathroom market is concerned,the elderly have become the marginal group of design.Most bathroom product designs are still in the simple imitation stage,and the actual situation of the elderly is not considered well.With the decline in the physiological and psychological state of the elderly,the existing sanitary products cannot meet the changing needs of the elderly.Among them,the obstacles of physical function have a serious impact on the sanitary behavior of the elderly.Therefore,it is extremely important to design bathroom products that can meet the needs of the elderly with age.This not only meets the needs of the elderly,provides convenience to the elderly’s life,but also reflects the society’s care for the elderly.This article takes the design and research of bathroom products for the elderly as the starting point.First,it investigates the current situation and research of the bathroom products for the elderly at home and abroad,and summarizes and analyzes the shortcomings of the existing bathroom products for the elderly.The elderly are classified according to the ADL scale,and self-care elderly and assisted elderly are selected as the research objects of this article.Through online questionnaires,field surveys,observation and recording methods,and roleplaying of the elderly’s bathroom behavior,in-depth analysis and recording of the problems in the elderly’s bathroom behavior,and drawing a road map and action posture to determine the key actions Exploring and summarizing with the force posture.Combining the physiological and behavioral characteristics of the elderly,the problems in the elderly bathroom are summarized and the hidden needs are explored,and the feasibility of the growth design concept in the design of the elderly bathroom products is explored.Finally,combined with design principles such as ergonomics and design psychology,research and analysis from the aspects of function,man-machine,material,color,etc.,summarize the design principles and methods of growable elderly bathroom products,and finally select those with a higher frequency of daily use by the elderly.Design practice for washing behavior.This article aims to enrich the elderly bathroom product market,provide new ideas for bathroom product design,provide a safe and autonomous bathroom environment for the elderly,make the elderly more self-esteem and independent in their later years,and reflect the design ideas of caring for the elderly and peopleoriented.
