| According to the data of China’s seventh national census, there are still more than500 million people living in villages in China. However, the focus of rural revitalization has long been concentrated on the improvement and enhancement of material environment, often ignoring the wishes of villagers’ subjects, thus leading to the lack of value of rural public space.Rural public space is the main activity place of rural residents, the main place of villagers’ daily life and communication, and the spiritual symbolic place of the village.A good public space demonstrates the characteristic living atmosphere and spiritual outlook of rural settlements and promotes the benign development of rural society. At present, the design practice of rural public space is paying more and more attention to the thinking of the synergy concept of villagers’ public life, and many excellent design cases have emerged. The exploration of the synergistic linkage between rural public space and villagers’ life provides experiences for the future development of rural civilization. This paper will focus on the key question: What are the reasons for the decline of rural public space? Can the concept of collaborative sharing leverage design to empower rural public space? In particular, can the emergence of "virtual public space" designed by information technology compensate for the shrinkage of "physical public space" ?The concept of "collaborative sharing" refers to the concept of sharing and co-construction with villagers as the main body, which is in line with the policy guideline of "co-construction,co-management and sharing",and the value pursuit or method of "collaborative sharing" to design rural public space, which can promote villagers’ collaborative participation, interaction, cooperation and consultation on social public affairs. In the first chapter of this paper,we have reviewed the relationship between "collaborative sharing" and "cooperative sharing".Chapter 1 of this paper composes the concept of collaborative sharing concept and rural public space, defines the research scope of rural public space under the current situation of domestic and foreign research, and puts forward the contemporary design problems of rural public space;Chapter 2 defines and classifies rural public space on the basis of domestic scholars’ research, integrates the collaborative sharing concept into the research of rural public space design, and collates rural public space in This paper delineates two types: physical public space and virtual public space, and makes five classifications of physical public space. The third chapter composes the characteristics and development opportunities of the concept of collaborative sharing, analyzes the design cases of physical rural public spaces under the concept of collaborative sharing by type, elaborates the mechanism and significance of the design methods under the concept of collaborative sharing in physical public spaces, and concludes that the collaborative association of rural society and the virtual public space are indispensable for the development of rural public spaces. The fourth chapter draws inspiration from this and finds that virtual public space has an irreplaceable and non-negligible role in the design of rural public space at the grassroots level, and concludes that rural physical public space and virtual public space should be considered and designed together.Chapter 5 looks forward to the ideal of design intervention in rural public space under the concept of collaborative sharing, and how design can empower rural design. The emergence of new virtual technologies today has given rise to new virtual public spaces to compensate for the dilemma that physical public spaces in the traditional sense are unable to give full play to the integration function of rural society and re-empower rural public spaces. Therefore, when designing interventions in rural public space,it is necessary to consider the physical public space and virtual public space of rural public space in concert, and further build a platform of spiritual space on top of the design of physical public space to form a benign interaction and effective connection between rural public space and villagers. |
