With the development of the modernization process,the dense urban population and the increase of motor vehicles have caused traffic congestion.In order to alleviate the urban plane traffic pressure,the construction of viaducts has grown rapidly,and the number of spaces under the bridges has also increased.However,there are many problems in the space under the viaduct,that is,changing the original style of the city,forming urban gray space,separating urban space and context,and breeding new social problems.In the mountainous area of Chongqing,where two rivers meet,the terrain is special,and the three-dimensional traffic space has resulted in a large number of riverside viaducts,affecting the overall effect of the city ’ s riverside landscape.Therefore,the research on the space landscape design under the Chongqing Binjiang Viaduct is of great significance for improving the urban quality of Chongqing and alleviating the existing problems of the space landscape under the Chongqing Binjiang Viaduct.The research idea of this paper is to ask questions,analyze problems,and solve problems,using the method of combining theory with practice,to study the space landscape design under the Chongqing Binjiang Viaduct based on the urban catalyst theory.Firstly,by analyzing the background of the development of the space under the viaduct,combing the research overview of the viaduct at home and abroad,and clarifying the significance of the study on the space under the Chongqing Binjiang Viaduct;It is clear that the urban catalyst theory has certain applicability and value in the application of the space landscape under the Binjiang viaduct.Thirdly,a field investigation was conducted on the space under the Chongqing Binjiang Viaduct,and its spatial influencing factors,spatial forms,and current conditions were analyzed.The principle of cultural continuity and the principle of site adaptability are five design principles,which propose the overall planning of space,optimization of functions,remodeling of landscape,cultural implantation,selection of original elements,introduction and activation of new catalyst points The reaction of the catalyst,the application method of the orientation of the subsequent catalyst.Finally,the theoretical research is integrated into practice to guide the space landscape design under the viaduct of the Yangpao Bureau section of Beibin Road,and to verify the feasibility of the design principles and strategies.All in all,this paper takes the space under the Chongqing Binjiang Viaduct as the research object,and takes the urban catalyst as the theoretical basis,and proposes the design principles,strategies and application methods of the urban catalyst in the space landscape under the Chongqing Binjiang Viaduct,and applies the principles and strategies to Chongqing.In the design of the space landscape improvement under the viaduct of the Yangpao Bureau section of Beibin Road,new catalyst points are introduced to stimulate the integration and resonance of the original site elements and the new elements,optimize the space landscape environment under the Binjiang viaduct,and activate and drive the surrounding areas.At the same time,it provides a new thinking angle for the follow-up research on the space under the riverside viaduct in mountain cities,the rational use of urban public space,and the construction of the continuity of riverside public space.
