| In recent years, under the influence of global climate change, the impact of flood disaster events has gradually increased, seriously threatening the sustainable development of urban society and economy. In order to reduce the losses of flood disasters, the scholars has gradually formed a consensus on building resilience to deal with flood disasters. As an important area of resilience research, community reflects the bottom-up initiative to deal with flood disasters. At present, community resilience research mainly focuses on resilience evaluation in a specific disaster-stricken area, and there are relatively few studies on community types and disaster stages in this area. There are various types of communities in cities, which are affected by many aspects such as infrastructure and material conditions, and the ability of communities to resist floods in different disaster stages is also different. Therefore, this study explores the differences in resilience for different types of communities and disaster stages, through an empirical study of Nanjing,in order to provide a useful reference for urban community disaster prevention strategies. This paper first sorts out the origin and development of the concept of resilience, and summarizes the evaluation methods and index system of community resilience, which lays the foundation for the research of this paper.Secondly, referring to the existing literature research, combined with the actual research situation, build a community resilience evaluation system from five capitals: social, economic, material, institutional and human. On this basis, taking Nanjing as an example, the resilience of urban communities is evaluated through factor analysis and comprehensive evaluation, and a multiple linear regression model is constructed based on the five capitals of community resilience and the disaster stage to analyze the differences in community resilience. Finally, based on community types and disaster stages, community resilience improvement strategies are proposed. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The overall score of community resilience shows that the commercial housing community is the highest, followed by the reformed housing community, and the affordable housing community is the lowest. The resilience of various capitals in the affordable housing community is relatively different, the reformed housing community is relatively balanced, and the resilience of each capital in the commercial housing community is relatively good.(2)Comprehensive of the five capitals of community resilience, the study found that the differences between social capital and human capital are small, while there are large differences between economic capital, physical capital and institutional capital. The economic capital of commercial housing communities has significant advantages. The physical capital of reformed housing communities is much higher than that of other communities, while the capital of affordable housing communities is relatively weak.(3)The results of the disaster stage of community resilience show that the main factors affecting pre-disaster preparation are economic capital, institutional capital and human capital;physical capital and institutional capital have positive significance in reducing the impact of disasters;Social capital and human capital can effectively promote post-disaster recovery actions, while physical capital will play a restraining role.(4)The improvement strategies of community resilience are mainly discussed from two aspects. On the one hand, based on the type of community,we propose improvement strategies for affordable housing communities, reformed housing communities, and commercial housing communities;on the other hand, based on the disaster stage, improvement strategies are proposed from three stages: pre-disaster preparation, disaster impact and post-disaster recovery. The full text is about 65,500 words in total, with 26 figures and 31 tables... |
