According to the development needs of smart ships,the operation and management of equipment in the engine rooms of the ships are gradually developing from the field to the shore.The ship’s auxiliary boiler are one of the important parts of the ship.By combining network communication technology,the remote monitoring and controlling of auxiliary boilers can be achieved.In the background of lacking a dedicated remote monitoring system for ship auxiliary boilers,this paper uses Mitsubishi ship auxiliary boilers as the research object to design and develops a remote monitoring platform by combining related technologies such as Ethernet,information communication and data processing.Based on the operating characteristics of Mitsubishi’s marine auxiliary boilers,combined with the characteristics of the ship-shore network environment and the platform’s own needs,this paper designs the architecture of the platform using C/S as the foundation,and devides the platform implementation into data processing module,data transmission module,data storage module,interaction module and physical module.The data processing module is used to process monitoring data and platform information,designing a variety of platform communication protocols for different types of data.In order to improve the reliability of data transmission,RS encoding algorithm and CRC check technology are used to correct or check data errors during data transmission.The module also uses a Canonical Huffman compression algorithm based on dynamic coding to compress the transmission data to reduce transmission overhead.The data transmission module is used to realize the ship-shore network communication.According to the complexity of the communication network environment,three communication service quality levels are designed,which are based on the UDP protocol,the RUDP protocol that supports the retransmission mechanism,and the UDT protocol that supports the retransmission mechanism and congestion control.The data storage module is used to realize the persistence of ship auxiliary boiler monitoring data and platform information.The module uses high-performance database Mongo DB to build a sharded replica set cluster to store data,which enhances the high availability and horizontal scalability of data storage.The interactive module is the platform client,and the client interface is designed using the WPF interface design framework,and the MVVM software design framework is used to reduce the coupling between the interface and the program,and improve the code reusability.The physical module is composed of three parts,the Mitsubishi marine auxiliary boiler simulation model is used to verify the monitoring function of the platform,the ESP8266 wireless communication module is used to realize data transmission with the data processing module.The STM32 chip connects the simulation model and the wireless communication module,and processes the model monitoring data and control instructions.Finally,a comprehensive test of the platform is carried out in combination with various modules.The results show that the platform can operate normally and can realize various functions such as remote monitoring of the auxiliary boiler of the ship,data compression and error correction,and data storage.
