With the rapid development of China’s construction industry,the level of informationization and intelligence of construction has been improving,the scale of the project is also gradually expanding,the construction process is complex,the information data is huge,the construction project management is difficult and other problems are frequently appearing.At the same time,"smart site" came into being and solved these problems to a large extent with its own superiority.However,the traditional project schedule management method can not achieve the information and intelligent management of the project,and it is difficult to meet the actual demand.As the main content of project management,construction project schedule management can greatly improve the overall management level of construction projects if it can play its role reasonably.Therefore,this paper exploratively proposes the idea of applying BIM technology to the progress management process of smart site projects,and studies it.The aim is to improve the overall level of progress management of smart site projects.Firstly,by reviewing the relevant literature,we sort out and summarize the current situation of domestic and foreign research on BIM technology,smart site and smart site project schedule management,and summarize the relevant theoretical knowledge of BIM technology and smart site to find the suitable research methods and ideas for this paper,so as to lay the theoretical foundation for the subsequent research.Translated with www.Deep L.com/Translator(free version)Secondly,by studying the relevant theoretical knowledge of BIM technology and smart site,we summarize the correlation between them and point out the advantages of applying BIM technology to the schedule management of smart site projects,and then describe the methods and processes of schedule management at the theoretical level,including BIM3 D modeling,creation of schedule plan,establishment of BIM4 D model and specific methods and measures in the process of schedule management..Finally,the practical application of BIM technology in the schedule management of this smart site project is analyzed with specific engineering cases,such as: collision checking,construction simulation,schedule tracking,schedule deviation analysis,schedule optimization and control by combining BIM technology and earned value method,etc.And the AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to evaluate the progress management process of this smart site project based on BIM technology.The data comparison of the project’s construction period before and after the application of BIM technology was also demonstrated.It shows that the method of using BIM technology to manage the progress of smart site projects is effective and has certain reference significance.
