In the context of global climate change,how to create a comfortable urban outdoor thermal environment has become a hotspot in the research field of architecture and environment.With the rapid urbanization and population growth,high-rise buildings have gradually become the development direction of urban housing,and their spatial form has a direct impact on outdoor thermal comfort.In the cold climate of China where Tianjin is located,high temperatures and extreme cold weather have occurred frequently in recent years.The outdoor thermal environment varies greatly in different seasons,and it is difficult to comprehensively improve outdoor thermal comfort.In order to comprehensively improve the outdoor thermal comfort of high-rise residential areas in the cold climate of China,this paper constructs a parameterized model for the plane layout form and vertical space form of residential areas,and combined with the multi-objective optimization algorithm,explores the comprehensive optimal residential space form model of outdoor thermal comfort in winter and summer.Based on the best forms,the quantitative relationship between microclimate parameters,spatial configuration parameters of residential area and thermal comfort evaluation index is analyzed,and the optimization design strategy of high-rise residential space shape is summarized.Firstly,the influencing factors of residential microclimate are analyzed,and the outdoor thermal comfort evaluation index UTCI and representative residential space form index are selected for quantitative evaluation.Based on the investigation and statistics of the newly-built residential areas in Tianjin in recent five years,this part lays the foundation for the later ideal model.Secondly,the technical path of this research is built by three steps: settlement model generation,outdoor thermal comfort simulation,and multi-objective optimization evaluation.Rhino & grasshopper are selected as the parameterized modeling and performance simulation platform.The coupling calculation of thermal environment,wind environment and thermal comfort is carried out by using the ladybug and butterfly plug-ins,and the multi-objective optimization calculation is carried out by relying on the octopus plug-in.After that,six groups of multi-objective optimization simulation experiments were carried out on three residential layout forms and three residential height combination forms.The quantitative relationship between microclimate parameters,space shape parameters and outdoor thermal comfort was analyzed when the outdoor thermal comfort of each form was optimized in winter and summer,and the residential optimization design strategy based on outdoor thermal comfort was summarized.Finally,two actual high-rise residential areas in Tianjin are selected.Under the condition of the same building density and floor area ratio,the optimization design strategy is applied to change the layout location and height combination of residential buildings,and meet the requirements of various design specifications.The optimized design can improve the outdoor thermal comfort of residential areas in winter and summer,and verify the effectiveness of the design strategy.It is expected that this paper can provide some reference for the design of high-rise residential areas.
