Regional Expression And Presentation In Cultural Architecture Of Large Cities

Large-scale urban cultural buildings are the symbol of a city.With the improvement of living standards,more and more people begin to pay attention to the significance of such buildings.In the past,the expression of meaning often revolved around the establishment of the image of the nation and the country,but in contemporary times,this is far from enough.People want this kind of architecture to carry the experience and deeper spiritual meaning.This requires that large-scale urban cultural buildings should not only have practicality and functionality,but also be connected with material culture,the spirit of The Times and urban life.At the same time,after a long history of development,the attitude of contemporary architecture has become more critical,one of which is to pay more attention to the experience and perception of readers.Both people’s demands and the professionalism of architecture emphasize that "the presentation of architecture" is not directly equivalent to "the expression of the author".Although many scholars have realized this problem and carried out a large number of studies on the presentation,there are few systematic studies combining presentation and expression at present.For the defects,this thesis,after reading contemporary cultural buildings which have been built,finds three suitable for comparison and analysis of typical architectural cases-Yunnan Provincial Museum of New(Museum),Yunnan Grand Theater(Theatre),Yunnan Museum of Literature and Art(Art Museum),and from a regional perspective to observe their expression and presentation.For this kind of buildings,this thesis extract the regionalist expression(regionalisty,modernity,spirituality,civility)and the regionalist presentation(readers,space environment and the interaction between the two)according to the composition of the three cases,and then analyze and compare the expression of three buildings systematacially.Some vague feelings will be digitized and visualized,and the interaction between expression and presentation will be summarized in a more rational way,so as to provide a reference for the relevant creation of urban cultural architecture at present.
