From Slow Life To Slow Desig

Design is a product of the times and a reflection of lifestyle.In today’s society,led by the fast pace,returning to nature to enjoy leisure has become a luxury,not only challenging the ecological environment,but also seriously affecting people’s physical and mental health.The fast design model belongs to irrational consumption,which leads to a lack of human touch and a waste of resources in products,which is not conducive to sustainable development.In the face of a series of problems caused by fast-paced life,people have realized the importance of slow life and gradually slowed down the pace of life.As a rational return to the design world,people have recognized the necessity of thinking about issues from the perspective of slow design concepts,but at present,there are relatively few systematic studies on slow life and the application of slow design concepts.This article starts with an analysis of the transformation process from life to design,using the methods of literature review,case analysis,and field research.Firstly,by analyzing the drawbacks caused by fast-paced life,people begin to reflect on the current lifestyle,while establishing and sorting out the relationship between lifestyle and design.It discusses the development process of slow life from the perspective of its background and era development,and summarizes that slow life is a product that conforms to the development of the times.Secondly,from the perspective of slow life,driven by the "Slow Food Movement",the concept of slow design emerged as the times require.It advocates returning to the essence of design and achieving emotional communication between people and things.The principle of slow design has been repeatedly applied in the design field,providing ideas for subsequent cultural and creative product design.At the same time,taking Gaochun International Cittaslow as the research object,fully explore the formation process,development conditions,lifestyle,cultural heritage and other elements of the slow city,and analyze and summarize the existing problems of Gaochun’s cultural and creative products based on the existing categories of Gaochun’s cultural and creative products,providing regional support for the application of slow design principles in Gaochun’s characteristic cultural and creative products.During the design process,by summarizing the new thinking of cultural and creative products under the principle of slow design,combining with the visual element analysis of traditional culture and local characteristics of Gaochun International Cittaslow and adopting the principles of expansion and participation in design,we have innovatively redesigned them.Firstly,a "reading lamp · bamboo" is designed for quiet reading in a fast-paced mode.The image of local bamboo is selected and combined with the expansion principle.Books are used as the switch of the lamp.By changing the switch mode,the product dependency is increased,allowing readers to read in silence and feel the accompaniment of the lamp during the reading process.Secondly,"Four Seasons,Rampant God" takes Gaochun’s traditional culture as a visual element,and displays it in the form of DIY seals and scratch paintings to increase the interaction and experience of cultural and creative products.Based on the above summary and analysis,exploring the transition from slow life to slow design is a beneficial attempt.It is hoped that by studying the relevant theories of slow life and enhancing the sense of experience brought by cultural and creative products,people will be aware of the changes in their current lifestyle,and provide reference significance for future research on slow life and slow design.
