Analysis Of The Investment Value Of The Hydropower Industry In The Context Of Double Carbon

In the context of frequent global extreme weather,coping with climate change is a huge challenge for all mankind in the future.In order to respond positively to the international call,China first proposed the concepts of ’’ carbon peak ’’ and ’’ carbon neutrality ’ in 2020.Under the background of ’ double carbon ’’,as the birthplace and important practitioner of the important concept of ’’ lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets ’’,electric power enterprises should seize this historical opportunity to accelerate the construction of a green low-carbon circular development industrial system based on hydropower,wind power and photoelectricity.As a pioneer in the development of hydropower industry,Yangtze River Power has gained long-term development momentum with stable operation and expanding installed capacity.At the same time,Yangtze River Power has been favored by many investors because of its unique advantages such as abundant resources,low risk,high yield and sustainable cash flow.Therefore,the thesis takes the Yangtze River Power Company in the hydropower industry as the research object,and uses the research method of combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to comprehensively evaluate the investment value of the Yangtze River Power Company,so as to provide reasonable investment suggestions for investors.The thesis first introduces the theory of sustainable development,value investment theory and other related theories,which provides a rich theoretical basis for the following analysis.Secondly,the hydropower industry is comprehensively analyzed from the macro,meso and micro levels.Thirdly,according to the principle of comprehensive evaluation system of investment value and the characteristics of China ’s hydropower industry,the corresponding comprehensive evaluation system of investment value is established.The thesis uses factor analysis method to comprehensively evaluate 23 listed companies in the hydropower industry,analyzes the competitive advantage of Yangtze River Power in the hydropower industry,and concludes that Yangtze River Power Company has good growth.Finally,the DCF model is used to evaluate the value of Yangtze River Power,and its intrinsic value is compared with the market value,and the conclusion that Yangtze River Power has investment value is drawn.Finally,from the perspective of investors on how to make the right investment decisions made recommendations.Through the research of the thesis,the following three conclusions can be drawn : First :the proposal of the " double carbon " policy will further promote the development of the hydropower industry.Second : Yangtze Power has obvious competitive advantages due to its low cost and unique geographical location.Third : Using the selected valuation model,it is concluded that the intrinsic value of the enterprise is higher than its market value,indicating that the growth of the hydropower industry is good,and the Yangtze River Power has long-term investment value.
