Study On Spatial Characteristics Of Traditional Villages In Handan City,Hebei Province

Handan has a long history and a long development history,which has left abundant cultural heritage for Handan.Traditional villages are one of them.Traditional villages contain China’s history and culture and are important historical heritage.Some traditional villages are facing destruction because they have not been effectively protected.The protection of traditional villages is urgent.The traditional villages in Handan city are one of the areas where the existing traditional villages are concentrated in Hebei Province.The relevant research on the traditional villages in Handan city is of great significance for the research and protection of the traditional villages in Handan city and even the whole Hebei Province.This paper takes 44(to the fifth batch)national traditional villages in Handan City,Hebei Province as the research object,analyzes and combs the spatial characteristics of traditional villages in Handan city with the help of ArcGIS software and the comprehensive use of spatial analysis and induction and summary methods.Firstly,with the help of GIS,this paper analyzes and summarizes the spatial distribution characteristics of traditional villages in Handan City,and explores the influencing factors that form the existing spatial distribution characteristics of traditional villages in Handan city.Then it studies the overall spatial characteristics of traditional villages in Handan,mainly the meso level research of traditional village location,spatial form and spatial structure.Finally,it studies the internal spatial characteristics of traditional villages in Handan,mainly from the micro level of street space,node space,courtyard space and so on.Based on the above research,this paper summarizes the spatial characteristics of traditional villages in Handan city.Hope to supplement the existing research data of traditional villages in Handan and contribute to the protection of traditional villages in Handan.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The traditional villages in Handan city are mainly distributed in Cixian County,Shexian County,Wu’an city and Fengfengkuang area.Most of the traditional villages were formed in the Ming Dynasty,and the distribution types of traditional villages are different as a whole.The distribution pattern of traditional villages is comprehensively affected by natural,social and other factors.Most traditional villages are distributed in low-altitude mountainous areas with appropriate slopes.Traditional villages show the characteristics of distribution along rivers,ancient post roads and modern transportation trunk lines.Social conditions,immigration activities and economic level also affect the distribution of traditional villages.(2)The traditional villages in Handan City show the characteristics of location selection along the mountain,close to the water source and along the traffic line.In the process of the development of traditional villages,different types of traditional villages show different spatial forms and structural characteristics,and also have some common characteristics.The spatial forms of traditional villages can be summarized as regimented,banded,radial and free-form.The spatial structure is divided into fishbone,dendritic and reticular,which is the result of the continuous coordination between traditional villages and the surrounding natural and social environment.(3)Under the comprehensive influence of various factors,the functions,scale,proportion and straightness of the main streets,secondary streets and lanes in traditional villages have different characteristics.The streets and lanes are fully combined with the local natural environment to form a distinctive street and lane space.The node space of the village includes the production and living node space such as farmland,water wells and squares,and the spiritual and cultural node space such as temples and theatres.The courtyard group space is combined by series and parallel.The single space form of the courtyard is divided into"one"shape,"L" shape,Sanheyuan and Siheyuan.The architectural structures of the village mainly include stone and wood structure,masonry structure,civil structure and brick and wood structure.Due to the different environment of each village,the courtyard space formed has local characteristics.
