With the increasing density and coverage of the high-speed rail network,our nation’s high-speed railway network will play a more prominent role in fast freight transport while meeting the needs for passenger services,becoming a cross-regional express freight transport channel that performs specific freight functions.The theory and practice of high-speed railway express freight transportation are in their infancy,and optimization of the termination consolidation of a high-speed railway express is in dire need of supporting relevant theories and methods.Determining the consolidation mode of terminal cyclic pick-up,this study focuses on the termination consolidation subsystem of high-speed railway express and develops the research in that under the cyclic pick-up mode,which is based on the consolidation service network comprised of handling stations and consolidation centers.The primary content is:(i)Constructing the organizational framework for high-speed railway express terminal container transport.By analyzing the organizational mode as well as the collection and distribution system of high-speed railway express,this study selects the consolidation subsystem as the research object.It examines the characteristics and requirements of the high-speed railway express terminal consolidation organization.The direct and cyclic pick-up modes of high-speed railway express are contrasted.Afterwards,the cyclic method is chosen,which assists with the optimized system for high-speed railway express terminal collection,including optimization objectives,constraints,and decision-making content;(ii)A plan is proposed for the terminal consolidation of high-speed railway express under the cyclic pick-up mode.This paper analyses the primary content of this plan then presents the principle and compilation process,analyses the influencing factors of the terminal transportation organization plan,identifies the essential elements of compilation and establishes the evaluation system for high-speed railway express terminal transportation.(iii)The optimized model of high-speed railway express’ s terminal consolidation under the cyclic pickup.The issues can be categorized as vehicle routing and application problems and cargo picking and stacking problems.Numerous constraints,including scheduled pickup,vehicle use,task path and container center,vehicle capacity,task uniqueness,task sequence,node entry and exit conservation,the latest retrieval time,vehicle departure,the visiting time of container center,return time,and task time succession,are formulated.Based on these constraints,an optimized organizational model for high-speed railway express’ s terminal container transportation is developed,which could reduce the total transportation cost of a cyclical pickup during the planning period.In addition,a heuristic algorithm is created to solve the model.The optimization of terminal transportation organizations can not only contribute to the relevant theory but also provide theoretical support for the high-speed railway express terminal organization.It can further optimize and improve the terminal transportation organization scheme of the high-speed railway express,which has significant theoretical and practical value for enhancing the overall efficiency of the high-speed railway express system.
