The Gan-Ning-Qingdao multi-ethnic area is the key area of the Northwest Ethnic Corridor, and Haiyuan County is also a typical Hui-Han mixed-inhabited area in China. The spatial pattern of Wangjiajing villages has achieved the coexistence of commonality and differences under the dual influence of multi-ethnic culture and natural environment, making it one of the typical representatives of Ningxia Hui-Han mixed-dwelling villages.Through the cross-disciplinary perspective, explore the characteristics and laws of the current interactive space of Hui-Han mixed villages to promote ethnic exchanges,so as to explore new perspectives and new methods to study them, and to explore the construction of harmonious human settlements and ethnic unity in the current ethnic areas. It has important research significance.Based on the perspective of environmental behavior, the paper explores from the perspective of ethnic groups, taking Wangjiajing Village in Haiyuan County as an example to study it.First, the spatial environment of Wangjiajing Village is analyzed from the perspective of landscape pattern, spatial form, and spatial characteristics of ethnic interaction.Secondly,by investigating the spatial behavior of ethnic groups, using the spatial cognition research method of environmental behavior, interviewing and recording local people, interpreting the spatial cognition map of the Hui and Han ethnic groups, and analyzing the public space paths and differential paths of the ethnic groups. Then, according to the needs of the ethnic groups, the frequency, regularity and characteristics of villagers’ behavior are recorded, and the spatial elements that promote the interaction of ethnic groups are summarized. Finally, according to the basic research,we sort out how the village public space adapts to the production, life, communication and existing problems of the ethnic groups;taking Wangjiajing Village as the guide,we discuss the principles and strategies of space design, and make corresponding optimal design plans.Through in-depth analysis of the characteristics of this type of village space at this stage, the relationship between people and environmental space is explained. It is concluded that the Wangjiajing ethnic group lives together in the valley, living next to each other, spatial tolerance, symbiosis and coexistence of the village morphological characteristics and the ethnic group’s spatial identity of "you have me,I have you" in the multi-ethnic harmonious symbiosis environment:(1)Common Regional characteristics determine the coexistence of the natural environment of ethnic groups;(2)the different ethnic cultures present the multi-dimensional symbiosis of the village environment;(3)frequent communication behaviors promote the integration of ethnic groups in public spaces;(4)the living pattern of living next to each other promotes the formation of ethnic groups Spatial identity. The research hopes to provide new ideas for the current practice of rural transformation and construction in multi-ethnic areas, and to provide references and suggestions for the construction of human settlements and the development of ethnic unity in ethnic areas; The need for research in interactive spaces.
