| Facing the complex environment and changing demands,VUCA(Volatility,Uncertainty,Complexity & Ambiguity)has become the new normal for engineering and construction enterprises today.Knowledge management can enhance the interaction between enterprises and the external environment,as well as enhance the synergy within enterprises,and play a crucial role in the acquisition of sustainable competitive advantages for engineering and construction enterprises,which can help enhance the ability of engineering and construction enterprises to cope with this new normal.In today’s highly developed knowledge-based economy,different engineering construction enterprises have more or less carried out knowledge management activities.However,these enterprises at different maturity stages of knowledge management can differ greatly in their ability to adapt and cope with the VUCA environment as well as their ability to sustain growth in this environment.Therefore,it is necessary to develop a knowledge management maturity evaluation model for engineering and construction enterprises to provide tools for enterprises to implement knowledge management and enhance their knowledge capabilities,both from the perspective of performance improvement and from the perspective of coping with the VUCA environment.Firstly,on the basis of analyzing the current situation of knowledge management of engineering construction enterprises in VUCA environment,this dissertation systematically summarizes the opportunities and challenges encountered by engineering construction enterprises in VUCA environment and discusses the necessity of implementing knowledge management in engineering construction enterprises.Then,guided by the theory of knowledge management maturity,on the basis of clarifying the characteristics of engineering construction enterprises,this dissertation constructs a conceptual model of knowledge management maturity of engineering construction enterprises.Whats more,the elements affecting knowledge management of engineering construction enterprises are screened and selected by literature research method and questionnaire survey method,and the index system of knowledge management maturity evaluation is established,and the evaluation is implemented by the material element extension method.Finally,this dissertation selects ZHONGMEI Engineering LTD as a case to carry out empirical evaluation,verifies the feasibility of the model constructed in this dissertation,and thus provides countermeasure suggestions for ZHONGMEI Engineering LTD to optimize and improve knowledge management.This maturity evaluation can reasonably and effectively measure the knowledge management maturity level of ZHONGMEI Engineering LTD,which can provide experience and reference for the knowledge management maturity evaluation of other engineering construction enterprises. |
